Do yourself a favor and never go to this Urgent Care! Every time we go the doctors and nurses have attitudes or you can tell they just want to get you in and out. Today, I went in with a sore throat and told them I had white patches on my throat and my symptoms weren’t getting better after 5 days. They refused to do a strep test because I’m an adult and “it’s very rare for an adult to have strep”. No it’s not. I can name multiple adults I know right now that have strep. They tested me for influenza which came back positive (however, they have been known to have false positives) and through all my research on it, influenza would be better each day and would cause muscle pain and fever. I had none of that. Also influenza does not cause white patches on your throat. Now, I have no medicine to take because apparently there is no medicine I can take for influenza ( which I am pretty positive I don’t have) so now I get to be miserable for who knows how long this will last. Thank you Iowa Clinic for continuing to prove that your healthcare is crap!

I love my doctor - she's the absolute best, but Heather, who answers the phone in Ankeny could use some customer service training. I called to make an appointment this morning and she was very short and deliberately rude. I repeated the date to her (of my appointment) and she said, "That's what I said." I know everybody has bad days, but its not what I've come to expect from Iowa Clinic staff. Hopefully she has a better day tomorrow.

I have had nothing but good experiences with Iowa clinic, EXCEPT the Front desk at the (Internal medicine, Family medicine &Lab) The older lady there is extremely rude and short with people. Not just me, every person that came to her she was rude to. If you don’t like your job you should find something different. You are the first face people see when coming into their appointments.

I was asked to make a 2nd follow up appointment at the Podiatrist to be fitted for orthotics. I took half a sick day off. I wrote substitute lessons for 2 hours on Sunday night. I arrived for my appointment and was told by the nurse to take both of my shoes off for the fitting. The Dr. came in and said since it's my first time needing care for a heel spur, he wants to wait 3 months. The appointment was over. My feet weren't even glanced at. I let the office manager know that the appointment was unnecessary and that I felt inconvenienced. I also requested that they not charge me for the 2 minute appointment. I received a bill today...The office manager won't return my calls. I am disappointed.

I have always gotten EXCELLENT care at Iowa Clinic in Ankeny, IA. The staff & doctors have always done there very best to help me with my medical care. Thank you all of you! I do have one wish & suggestion for the Iowa Clinic Board of Directors: I go to the Ankeny Iowa Clinic since it's 3 minutes from my home for a CT Scan regularly. I am surprised that the Ankeny Iowa Clinic does not have the equipment to connect to my PORT. Why not? I know I could drive all the way to Des Moines, but a 3 min. drive when I'm battling cancer is much better for me. IOWA CLINIC BOARD OF DIRECTORS: WOULD YOU PLEASE GET THE PORT EQUIPMENT & TRAIN YOUR STAFF IN ANKENY TO MAKE IT EASIER THAN TRYING TO FIND MY VEINS FOR CT SCANS, BLOOD WORK, ETC.. and not drive a long distance to Des Moines? As many seniors as there are & as big as Ankeny is, it would be nice to be able to connect to our ports for blood work, scans, etc.. I hope that the MANAGEMENT at Iowa Clinic see this important change that needs to be made. I would have given this review 5 stars if it wasn't for this issue.

Wonderful experience with doctor but woeful experience with billing department. Bill they sent to me was not obvious. All it say it lab LAB PROVID: LAB TEST, but not what type of test or what medical condition that test was for. According to my insurance all the lab cost are paid, hospital claims preventive care side is taken care but not the other medical condition test. Clearly, i can't figure out which lab test is for which claim, unless i call the hospital billing department since they have different bill viewing than what they send to patient. Never saw other hospital giving a vague billing statement.

I saw Dr. Kawsu Barry (Orthopedics) today for knee pain. Dr. Barry was fantastic, and I HIGHLY recommend him for any knee issues. Dr. Barry FIRST listened to me, next validated my concerns, then he explained, using the imaging, why I have the pain. He worked me to develop a treatment plan to maximize the length of time before I would need a total knee with encouragement. You don't often find a physician who will look you in the eye throughout the entire appointment. Highly, HIGHLY recommend Dr. Barry. Iowa Clinic -- Please get Dr. Barry on the list of your providers so he can receive individual reviews as well.

Dr. Christopher Kim was great doctor. I had dislocated my elbow in 2017 and I started having pain and my old orthopedic Doctor No longer practice so I got a referral to the Iowa clinic and saw Dr. Christopher Kim,, which is great. Total what going and what needed do. And if need see him again and would help out. They had emergency and they kept me informed of what was going on in the back because they were running late passed my appointment time which I which I thought was great definitely would go back thank you I will Clinic and Dr. Christopher Kim
