My Dad "Mr. Ed" was a patient in the Garden's rehab facility for about 6 weeks. We cannot find the words to convey the amazing, kind, patient, and yes loving care that he received. He was in terrible shape after a bad fall and hospitalization when he arrived. As the weeks went by, he not only recovered but actually seemed to be in better shape than before he fell. He left over a month ago and still talks about how well taken care of he was - he actually misses his caregivers! The staff was also warm and responsive to his family, and Scooby and I actually miss coming by for our visits (Scooby says hello!). My Dad and his family would HIGHLY recommend the Gardens to anyone looking for experienced and kind care of a loved one. A special shout out to his "special friends" ANGI, ALEX, MYERS and CHERYL - they are beautiful people! Also to FAITH who greeted me with a warm smile and chat every time I walked in the door!

We couldn't have been more pleased with the dedicated care my elderly mom received at The Gardens.! Having just come from the hospital where she battled both an intestinal illness and Covid, she was weak, disoriented, homesick, scared, but the folks at The Gardens made her feel safe, cared for and at home, and eventually through their physical therapy team, stronger again; strong enough to move on to a more permenant long-term healthcare facility. I do not think she would be where she's at today, physically and emotionally, had it not been for the staff at The Gardens. Kudos to all departments and especially the warm, dedicated and engaged social work department that practically held my mother's hand the whole time she was there!

My mom was very happy here. The food was excellent, loved all the nursing staff and PT personnel. The only downside, was that when she had her final visit with Dr. Kaushal Nanavati, he did not notice that one of the staples from her surgery had not been removed. That over site was not discovered until she was home getting a shower.

It’s important to me to sing the praises of the Gardens of Monroe! In the month I spent there I never encountered anyone who wasn’t terrrific. The aides and nurses were so outstanding, I can’t single them out individually. The Medical Staff and Social Workers, along with the front end staff helped me so very much. Quite frankly the Physical Therapists and Occupational Therapists were amazing in getting me back on my feet and walking again. They’re a team of people who work together and they’re constantly moving, non stop! Because I’m Celiac, the Dietician, Kitchen Manager and the staff provided me with wonderful meals. There is a special lady who does your laundry free of charge. The rooms are kept so clean as are the floors throughout. The activities provided by a group of gals were lots of fun to pass time & talk to other patients. None of this would happen without the extraordinary guidance of Chuck Erlanger, the Administrator. My sincere thanks to all of you! I highly recommend the Gardens at Monroe!

After much trepidation and research regarding my mothers long term care destination, ,she has successfully transitioned and continues to flourish at the Gardens at Monroe. Administrator Chuck Erlanger, and his top of the line personnel Pam, Alex, Erin and Cindy , check all the boxes in bringing the best possible care for a loved one, this facility clearly ranks as the BEST in the area.. My sister and I realize our collective family decision was the correct one, Thank you Robin Nokes and Richard Cooke

My name is Sheila and I want to share the outstanding experience I had at The Gardens at Monroe. Cheyenne Edwards and Minerva Castor are the best compassionate nurses ever. Kaye Legaspi is a terrific CNA! they all provide outstanding services. This is a perfect facility for anyone that needs healthcare services.

Bad experience with subacute rehab at this facility. My 92 yo grandma who has dementia fell twice in one day here. I was not contacted the first time it happened and when I asked her nurse what we can do to prevent her from falling in the future, she told me I could hire a person to come watch her. Later, I overheard the nurse loudly saying that they are health professionals and not babysitters. I was alarmed and asked to speak with management. An administrator came and asked me if anyone promised me that my grandma wouldn’t fall there. There was no apology or proactive plan to mitigate the risk going forward. The facility itself looks like a motel for convalescing and smells musty. The hallways are very noisy and I believe the noise was a major factor in my grandma’s sundowning/getting up. The pt/ot room is cramped and outdated and the male therapist she had that day was disengaged, apathetic, and unpleasant. The only positive thing about this facility was that most of the nurses and cna’s I encountered were genuinely kind, concerned, competent, and non-neglectful. That is the only reason I am leaving 2 stars instead of one. If your loved one is fully independent, has no cognitive impairment, and doesn’t need rigorous pt/ot, this may be a good facility for you. Otherwise, I do not recommend this place.
