I truly look forward to my appointments each month. The environment is so welcoming and relaxing. I will admit, I don't particularly care for needles, however this does not hurt. I have had significant improvement in my overall physical and mental health since being under Dr. Lundy's care. She is so easy to talk to and cares about her patients. I highly recommend that anyone give acupuncture a try, especially with Dr. Lundy.

I came to Dr. Lundy after trying for two years to get pregnant. I have always had long, irregular cycles and was hoping acupuncture could help shorten and regulate them. Three cycles later, (each one shorter than the last) and I was pregnant! On my first visit Dr. Lundy spent more time with me asking questions and taking a history than any doctor I have ever visited. I am beyond thankful to Dr. Lundy and her staff in helping us grow our family!

The Balancing Point is a great place to go if you are looking for alternative treatment to modern medicine. For those not aware, the practice of acupuncture is around ~4,500 years old! Something does not last that long unless there is some validity to it, and as someone who has started receiving acupuncture treatment for some issues, I will honestly tell you that it does work. Having said that, do not expect an overnight miracle. For many conditions and issues, they developed over years of abuse on our bodies, and it will take some time to get those things worked out. You still may not get back 100%, but you should definitely see some major improvement. You have to keep an open mind and be positive about the treatment that Dr. Lundy is going to provide. In martial arts there are points on the human body that practitioners are taught to strike, because it is proven that those strike points will deliver a certain result. Acupuncture is very similar, and if you were to lay a strike point "map" over an acupuncture "map," I would be willing to bet that they line up. The difference is that the acupuncture needles, instead of shutting down or stunning an organ or bodily system, are triggering a central nervous system response for those areas, which in turn will cause your body to promote self healing. Our bodies naturally try to balance themselves, but sometimes things can block that pathway of healing and wellness. Acupuncture may unblock that pathway, and allow the body to return to a state of homeostasis. Dr. Lundy is absolutely fantastic, and has the best bedside manner of any doctor I have seen, regardless of specialty! If you are tired of taking handfuls of pills every day, not knowing what they might be doing to you in the long run, or if your condition / issue is not being resolved by modern medicine, then open your mind up to the possibility that a very ancient form of medicine might be what your body actually responds to. Give Dr. Lundy a try...you might just be surprised at the results! Addendum edit: and no, acupuncture does not hurt at all! Also, be very open when telling Dr. Lundy (or any doctor) about what is going on with you. They would prefer you to be forthcoming with information versus having to pry it out of you. The sooner they can make a diagnosis, the sooner they can start the treatment process.
