Temple Physical Therapy

I have had physical therapy with Temple for 12 sessions now, and I am satisfied with my PT (although never having had PT before, I don't have much to compare it to). I'm writing this because I received my bill which is very disorganized. The final "patient balance" is correct, but the body of the bill has columns "Charge" and "Due" which are inflated figures way higher than what I owe. No where on this bill is there any reconciliation of all of these line items and my final total. I need this bill to be accurate to submit it to my Health Reimbursement Account. When I called their Billing Department, I got voice mail during REGULAR BUSINESS HOURS. I selected several other options just to see if I could reach anyone....I tried options for New Haven, Cheshire, even the Director...got voice mail each time. Also, when I got my bill, it had a pink "OVERDUE" sticker at the top. It was the FIRST bill I ever received from them, and I have been using their services for less than one month. Again, I'm reasonable satisfied with the actual therapy, but this business needs new management. If I had known how poorly run this business was, I never would have considered using them!

I have used Temple PT twice now for two different injuries. In both cases almost each time I visited I got a different therapist who wants to know all about the injury again. Each has their own way of conducting the therapy, making the entire experience inconsistent. Many of the therapists seemed OK, but none of them seemed to have even looked at my chart before my arrival.

Extremely disorganized place. The therapists themselves are fine as long as you can actually get an appointment. I had numerous occasions when I would call during business hours and no one would answer the phone. Twice I came to my appointment only to find out that the appointment has been canceled without anyone bothering to notify me. This place clearly does not value your time, I would recommend a different practice.

Every time I went in I saw someone different, and sometimes I was even passed off between therapists in the middle of a session. This seems antithetical to a comprehensive plan of care. Also their billing department is very unhelpful. Yale Health needs to stop contracting with this group ASAP.

Couldn't get anyone to answer the phone. Couldn't get anyone to answer email. Is this a real health care provider or just a front for a floating craps game?
