TEIS Early Intervention Provider

We are so grateful for our TEIS therapists, Annie (PT) and Emmy (OT)! We were fortunate enough to start with Annie when my son was only 2 months old. I knew immediately we were in extremely capable hands with her. She is organized, professional, and knowledgeable. Our sessions with her never felt like work as she does an amazing job providing practical suggestions to incorporate exercises into our existing daily routine and family dynamic. Right from the start she found age appropriate ways to help my toddler get involved in her brother’s care, which was so beneficial to my toddler’s confidence as she was learning to navigate her new role as a big sister. Annie builds such an amazing partnership with the whole family and everyone benefits as a result. He was recently discharged and during our last visit to the pediatrician, our doctor immediately commented how impressed he was with our son’s outcome. Our time with Emmy was brief as my daughter aged out of early intervention, but she made a huge impact in a short amount of time. Emmy is kind, knowledgeable, and professional. She could pivot on a dime during our sessions based on my daughter’s mood/interest and provided me with an abundance of resources. My daughter had a very limited diet when we first met Emmy. Since working with Emmy, I am amazed by how many new foods my daughter has introduced and how willing she is to continue to try new foods, even if she ultimately decides she doesn’t like them. Mealtime has become so much more enjoyable as a family, and although we have been discharged for close to 2 months, my daughter still asks to update Emmy whenever she tries something new. I highly recommend TEIS for early intervention and wouldn’t hesitate to work with Annie and Emmy again should we ever need additional services!

Our daughter just finished PT after 2 years with her therapist, Rachel. I don’t know where we would be without her. I can’t say enough good things. Our daughter has low tone and didn’t walk until 21 months. Rachel worked with her from 11 months until 3 years old and you would never know our daughter had any issues with muscle tone. She has grown stronger and so much more confident. Rachel always worked with her so patiently, even in the midst of toddler meltdowns. Rachel was so creative in finding exercises that helped with movements our daughter struggled with. It’s so life-giving to see your kid grow and learn and am so thankful for Rachel’s help in this.

We had the pleasure of working with Annie for our daughter, Lily, who has Down syndrome, and I can confidently say she is one of the best physical therapists we've ever encountered. She is not only a great communicator but also brought a positive attitude to every session, and her understanding nature made a huge difference, especially for our timid and often uncooperative daughter. What really stood out to us was how knowledgeable she is—she obviously knows anatomy and understands child development really well. She always had tons of great ideas and resources. She also knew exactly how to gently ease our daughter into each session. Beyond her professional skills, she genuinely cares for her clients, and it’s easy to get along with her. I would often text her videos of our daughter’s progress, especially when she hit a milestone or developed a new skill, and the way Annie cheered her on made me feel like we all were a great team. She made such a positive impact on our daughter’s progress, and we miss her deeply. We remember her often and are so grateful for the difference she made in our lives.

TEOS is a wonderful program. My daughter had trouble latching on while nursing when she was a newborn. Then as she started to walk she toe walked. Both Aids for OT and PT were amazing and help with so many tips and tricks to is include in our daily routines. Thank You so much

We had the BEST experience with my daughter's speech therapist, Miss Christie. She truly cares about the kids she works with, celebrates every milestone, and offers guidance for us as parents. My daughter made huge progress during our work together and I'm so grateful.

TEIS has been a staple for our family for the last 10+ years. Starting with my oldest at 10 months old, to now my middle child having them for speech. Their therapists are always so helpful and for speech this time, we had Kim. She was seriously the best! She helped my son find his voice and now he doesn’t stop talking.

I am so pleased with the services we have received through TEIS! Our son has been seeing Jamie for PT for over a year and we just recently started seeing Lauren (Developmental therapist). Both providers have been incredibly organized , warm, and knowledgeable . They both have also done a wonderful job of adapting their approach based on my son's personality - he is very resistant to hands on assistance , but Jamie has never wavered in her patience and ability to support him through alternative avenues like modeling and providing me with a wealth of strategies, ideas, and resources that we can use at home and in the community. Lauren has also been wonderful thus far - I love that she and Jamie are working together to support us as we navigate certain preferences and behaviors that affect our son's willingness to engage in gross motor skills as well as other activities that extend beyond the PT domain. Additionally , we have had a session with Haley (Diet/Nutritionist) who has been a great asset as we work to address growth concerns as our son was born SGA. I really appreciate how each therapist has been not only supportive and motivating toward Matthew but toward me as a mother as well- I've never once felt "talked down to"- our sessions always feel like a partnership and I feel respected and affirmed for the efforts I'm making as a parent. Their genuine affirmations of what they see me doing well mean so much- when one's child is experiencing challenges in certain areas , it's very easy to go into "mom guilt " mode. My son's therapists at TEIS frame us all as a team and I always leave our sessions feeling motivated and encouraged. Over the course of our time with TEIS our son went from not walking much at all to running via his work with Jamie in PT and he has already made strides forward in his adaptability and diet as well. We look forward to continuing to working with our TEIS team in the coming months!
