The run around to even schedule an appointment here is unacceptable. It’s been weeks since my physician referred me to get PT, yet the office refuses to even schedule me for an appointment. They’ve been dragging their feet getting insurance authorization, which they claim is required before they even schedule me an appointment. As a result, I won’t even be able to book an appointment for over 6 weeks after my doctor wanted me to start PT (they still won’t book me an appointment). Frankly, it’s none of their business who pays for my appointment - if I want to pay out of pocket, that’s my choice. Unfortunately, I’ve been forced to drive to Reno to get treatment because their office is too lazy to push through the insurance claim and simply unwilling to allow me to pay out of pocket.

Great patient care. It's a busy clinic, but the best usually are... They must have had good leadership beginning.

Just be aware that the appointments/scheduling aspect is completely messed up at the PT within TFHS. Just simply don’t expect fair service and you will have a great experience. They will tell you they need XYZ which are unnecessary and it’s unethical as a hospital to allow for this kind of differentiation between patients without valid transparent reasons. If you can afford to go to a private practice I probably would because these practitioners are controlled by different systems and reasons and it will affect your medical care and health.

I was there for an evaluation for a new electric wheelchair. The staff was very nice and cooperative, and it took about an hour for the evaluation. It is the only place that will even do these evaluations for someone who is on Medicare in the Tahoe basin. I had to wait a couple of months for an appointment, but that's not unusual for this kind of thing. It takes 3 people to do it for the insurance companies. One to do the eval., one to do the range of motion stuff, and one from the wheelchair company to pick out the color and fit into the chair.

Unethical billing. They charged me $350 for 40 minutes of therapy saying it was the normal rate (I have insurance but not yet at deductible). After a couple of sessions I found out the place on the opposite side of the road (Sel;ect) charges $70 for one hour of therapy. When I complained they said it is normal as they charge a hospital fee. This institution is unethical. They are supposed to heal people not take advantage of them. Stay away if you can!

This is my second time for a 2nd knee surgery with Tahoe Forest Physical Therapy. My experience has been simply amazing. I am currently working with Jesse who has legit seen me at me worst, ugly tears, etc. Jesse has been kind and compassionate. He has celebrated with me on my small wins and good days and doesn't judge me when I'm having a bad day. The entire staff is always so kind and helpful. I have received first class patient care and highly recommend Tahoe Forst Physical Therapy.

the therapy didn't help solve my neck issue but more importantly they are not transparent with their pricing and cost. I had a neck injury and got evaluation and referral from my Dr to see a physical therapy. on the phone and also on the day of visit, i was told that they cost is $299 and if there is additional cost they will communicate that with me. so i paid that cost before my visit and before I left I checked by the front desk to see if i owe anything and I was told I am good. 2 weeks later i received another bill for additional $300 so when I called i was told that's bc of the treatment which I was expecting to be communicated with me that the 10 min exercise will cost me an additional $300. I asked to talk to a supper visor I have to call 2 more times because no one called me. And after 3 follow ups and 2 months later someone called me and all she said was repeating her self that our staff is trained and I am sorry. So she wasn't of any help and I paid $500 for nothing. Don't appreciate their lack of transparency and won't go there again.

I took the afternoon off of work, to take my grandson to his first appointment. On our way to the appointment they called to cancel, they said the therapist was feeling unwell. A half hour’s notice is both unprofessional and unacceptable. As patients we are required to provide a minimum of 24 hours notice or can be charged. It is unlikely that the therapist had less than 30 minutes before they started feeling “unwell”. They made it bad first impression and will not have the opportunity to make a second.
