Tahoe Equine Rehab and Conditioning Center

My azteca mare Macie sustained a suspensory tear about a year and a half ago that was treated at Comstock Equine Hospital and had been slowly rehabbing at home but with the weather and my schedule, she wasn't getting the consistency she needed to regain her strength and condition. I reached out to Tahoe Equine Rehab and spoke with Maguire in March. She was thorough, patient, knowledgeable and very friendly! She made sure they could accept Care Credit and we dropped Macie off in April. The facility is GORGOUS, inviting, and comfortable. Our horses are not stalled, but Macie had no trouble acclimating thanks to the calm and relaxed atmosphere. I receive regular updated and we visit about once per week. I am thrilled with the progress Macie has made and the care she has received. I can't wait to get her home and FINALLY get her started under saddle! When my husband's main horse, Rio, came in from the pasture slightly off last month, we took her down to see Dr. Miller at Great Basin Equine (the BEST lameness vet in the region) where she was diagnosed with a minor check ligament tear. Dan relies on this mare for his daily work and we didn't think twice about walking her over to Tahoe Equine Rehab for daily laser treatments to help her heal. We are grateful to have such an incredible resource available in Northern Nevada and will continue to utilize their services!

TERC has helped me rehab two horses, and I'm as happy as can be. Each horse receives individual attention and is put on a regimen specific to them and their needs, prescribed and overseen by Dr Shane Miller, implemented by barn manager Maguire Price. I felt confident leaving my horses with them, knowing they were getting the best possible care. It made the ordeal of getting my horses back to work seamless, took the stress out, and hastened the process. All this, and it didn't break my bank! I highly recommend TERC to anyone dealing with an injured horse, or just wanting some solid Spring conditioning. The facility and the staff are top-notch. I can't thank them enough.
