Horrible experience with this pain management doctor. They do not care about your well-being. Even when you have the history of medication. New doctors come in and have their own opinions and don't cater to the customer. You are just an inconvenience to them. I will never go to these doctors ever again choose somewhere else. I chose to go to a new doctor and they could not believe what this establishment is doing.

I wish 0 stars was an option. I don’t even know where to start. I thought reading the reviews in the beginning was maybe people over reacting but no, everything you read is true. I don’t write reviews but I’m making an exception because I’ve had an awful experience here. If you’re smart ask for a different referral. Don’t bother wasting your time, money and energy. Communication is terrible, getting calls back is awful, talking to an Indian call center wondering if my medical information is safe is an awful feeling. At this point I’d rather die from pain then deal with your awful office. Hopefully you either close or get your act together.

Everything I hear about Synovation in general is negative. My experience with Dr. Richardson was laughable. Without examination and only radiological summaries simply dismissed my pain as "just getting old". He lied to me directly by claiming they don't prescribe medication and ended the session with suggesting pain control methods I already explained had outlived their usefulness. An arrogant grown-up Erkle. And the site-owner of this blog can dismiss Richardson to make things better.

I don't have anything positive to say about the Carlsbad location or it's NP Nadine Batac. (I kept requesting to have a MD, but was told that they didn't have any available in the SD region. Basically, MD's only do procedures ). From my first appointment onward there were issues. They kept cancelling my appointments on the days of, because someone would forget to request authorization for a visit. This happened at least 5 times, so I started personally checking with the insurance company to see how many pending visits were approved. They called to cancel another time and I had to insist that I had approval and have them put me on hold while I waited for them to call the insurance so they wouldn't cancel my appointment! (I had approval). Then there was the Nurse Practitioner/NP Nadine. She neglected to read my medical history on the pages of paperwork that they required, was argumentative (which sounds like the norm from reading other reviews), and didn't follow through on referral orders, etc. That stuff was bad enough, but when I ordered copies of my medical records I was absolutely shocked. Nadine documented on around 20 (yes twenty!) visit notes that she had done physical assessments on me, along with her so called findings during these supposed physical assessments. She also charted that I said I was feeling better (NEVER said that), and that my gait (the way I walk) was normal! The only problem with all those notes is that it's absolutely NOT TRUE...She has never once seen me in person, watched me walk, or performed any type of physical exam, strength and muscle tone tests, or checked reflexes on me! SHE FALSIFIED MY MEDICAL RECORDS for visits spanning over ONE Year until I fired her and requested to see someone at a different location. Meanwhile, I couldn't even stand long enough to brush my teeth at the sink, could barely walk or stand up straight, and was dependent on a four wheel walker with a seat, and a shower chair. I couldn't even stand at the stove to cook an egg or wash dishes, but she documented that I had no difficulty performing all my activities of daily living! When I discussed these concerns with Synovation's Medical Director Dr Henry Richardson, he initially told me that he backs all of his practitioners and in twenty years of practicing he's never heard of a medical record being amended. However, a few weeks later when I saw him for a procedure, he approached me and said that he took a look at what I was talking about and that he agreed that the amendments should be made. He then introduced me to his manager Alex, who was supposed to resolve the issues. That was almost 8 months ago and despite speaking to him, leaving messages, texts, and emails, Alex has neglected to get back to me. I even called corporate, explained my problem and was directed to leave a voicemail for the CFO Matt Talbott. That was ineffective as well. No reply... The next step is reporting the NP and MD to the state medical and nursing boards. I explained to them that I would take that route if I didn't hear from them. Will update with further findings as they arise. #patiencerunningout.

Horrible truly Horrible. They tell me an appointment time then say you have to come half hour early for paperwork. The paperwork was less than 10 min.and I waited an hour after my schedule appointment. When the doctor came he was accusing, said my diagnosis was completely different than the orthopedic Dr. he downgraded my pain and my issues. He told me he didn't care about past treatments I have had by another doctor and mentioned 3-4 different medications I could "try" that really work.I explained that I had gone an entire year of trials and was not into taking a bunch of new medications so he told me to leave his office! I'm like seriously?? Save your time and keep looking..

This clinic is the best place for you if you love wasting time, incompetent workers, and lastly, the cherry on top calling leaving dozens of voicemails and never receiving a call back this is the perfect place for you. I was referred here back in August and only had 4 appointments Telehealth and in person and one trigger point injections meant for pain in 1 out of 4 areas I feel daily pain. The waits are very long and I received a letter in the mail stating my trigger point injection was denied because I did not receive physical therapy first after I already received a first treatment, very odd. So I called left voicemails stating the center where I did receive recent physical therapy so the dr could redo the forms, no call back, no one picks up, the receptionists can't tell me if the dr even knew forms to my insurance submitted when they do pick up. I went to my primary dr said I want a referral to a different pain specialist.

NADINE BATIC NP is the best. She has helped me through such hard times physically and mentally. Her care and guidance are immeasurable. She literally listens to me and gives me great advice to help me stay on my wellness path. I've been going here for years. I am grateful and the front office Joanne is so sweet and always helpful.

Dr was nice and helpful but their front desk staff is horrible. You have to do all the footwork and basically do their job for them. They are rude and not helpful in the slightest. Do not recommend.
