Synergy Orthopedics Physical Therapy - La Jolla

What an awesome group of dedicated staffs. I got injured at work which left me with multiple discs' injuries. Was unable to walk or support myself for several months without a use of a walker. Pain medications weren't helping much due to nerve issues. My occupational health doctor recommended PT at the hospital location where I work for a month along with acupunctures sessions. I still was not improving much. I did the routines recommended by the PT staffs there everyday, but little improvement noted. It was a long, painful, and lost of some independence journey... I still was unable to stand for more than 30 minutes before having painful spasms. The neuropathy was also bad and constant anytime I stand up. Finally after several months later, work comp approval and working with the only pain doctor assigned to me, I was finally approved for more PT and acupuncture sessions. This time I requested for a different PT place since the last one wasn't helping me much. Was recommended Synergy Orthopedics at the La Jolla location. Dr. Jenny Tith and her team are awesome! She is knowledgeable, friendly, and caring. After interviewing me and getting my history and current condition, she create a workout plan that is geared toward my problem areas. I have explained to her what I have been shown to do and done on my own at home, she suggested a more intensive workout combo with deep tissue massage, stretches, and cool down period. I also followed her routines at home as much as possible, I don't have the heavy machineries they have but made some adjustments to fit. Two sessio s a week and after two weeks, I noticed a difference. I was able to walk without the use of my walker, stand longer, and the pain is less. Over a month later, I still continue with the routines set by Dr. Tith at home. Got approval to go back to work a week ago. Thank you so much Dr. Jenny Tith and the awesome team at Synergy Orthopedics for helping me get back on my feet without much issue, still have the neuropathy but manageable. Very grateful to everyone for your dedications in your field. Now I can go back and help my patients get better also.

Aimee is an excellent therapist. She pays attention to my individual needs, and doesn't treat me like just another back problem.

I have been coming to this place for physical therapy for two months, and I had great experiences. When my Doctor ordered urgent physical therapy, I called more than 15 physical therapy places, and this was the only place that could take me in the same week. When I go there, I’m greeted by friendly staff. The best part is my therapist Deborah Lee, OT, she is the best, she helped me get my elbow straight, even after my doctor told me that after breaking it I would not go back to straight again. She is nice and really cares about my elbow getting better. I would highly recommend Deborah for any arm injuries, she will work you hard, but she will get you better. Thank you Debbie.

I was pretty bummed. The orthopedist ordered 6 weeks of PT following my knee surgery. He raved about how great this place was. It was near impossible to schedule appointments and when you did have appointments, you could tell they had double or triple booked you. That wasn’t my biggest problem, though. Several times I was in there and I would wait to book appointments or to ask a question and the front desk staff would completely ignore me. It was horrible. So, I never completed and I haven’t been back.

I was here for my knee surgery PT. Pre and post. My mom also just needed a hip replacement and went here as well for her PT. Our therapists were Bernadette and Laciee. The environment here is open. I would often be in a conversation with a fellow injured person. I was treated with respect as was everyone that I see getting PT there. This staff is really good at their job. I feel empowered, stronger and confident in the direction I am heading. Every time I came in, even in the beginning I was remembered as was previous conversations. I felt cared about and seen, never like a job to be done. This place makes PT enjoyable, even when painful! Thank you Synergy staff! You are all fantastic.

I am definitely a believer in this place. I’ve only be here for four months and the stages of where I am now in my recovery are astounding. The staff go above and beyond all day from the front desk checking on me for my appointments to the therapists checking and helping during my workouts.To every single therapist there I have found them to be Highly knowledgeable and would recommend to all. Their service is greatly appreciated by myself and my family.

Disorganized and not focused. Most visits the therapist was working with one or two other people at the same time so I'd be by myself wondering what I was supposed to be doing next. The exercises exacerbated my condition. I was never told what I would be charged for and ended up getting a surprise bill. I asked several times for copy of my medical chart and a copy of itemized charges. They were very reluctant to share my information with me. Never again. Found a better place with no surprise charges.

Received about 10 weeks of PT after shoulder / bicep repair procedure. All I can say is outstanding service . Omari Phillip was excellent. Much thanks for getting me back to my normal physical activities.
