Sutter Physical & Hand Therapy, Elk Grove

Disrespectful staff that regularly discriminate against disabled folk. They cancelled 6 different apts on me with LESS than 1hrs notice. Sometimes while I was literally in the car on my way to the apt. I didn’t complain once. I canceled ONE TIME because I was sick. I called with several hours notice (despite my pt telling me I only needed to give ONE hr notice). I left a voicemail telling them I was sick. They called me back and confirmed I was sick. Then they sent THREE letters threatening to drop me as their client. Two of which were for apts THEY cancelled. I rightfully called back and explained they were acting in a highly inappropriate manner and that I needed to understand why they thought it was appropriate to threaten to withhold treatment from a disabled person because they were sick ONE TIME. Manager confirmed that I would’ve been turned away if I showed up sick because they do not see patients while they are sick. Manager said she would talk to staff and have the letter reversed. I felt somewhat satisfied with this. Then the manager tried to chastise me about their policies and I told her I didn’t need to be reprimanded, I repeated that she said she would talk to staff/reverse the letter, and hung up. Today I woke up to new letter full of lies labeling me an abuser. I guess according to Sutter standing up for yourself is abusive. Sutter does not care about you, your well-being, or the truth. Save yourself time & stress and just leave a public review. The Patient Resource Center doesn’t do s***.

I could not be more pleased with the staff and providers here. Cara is the best PT I could ask for. She is incredibly knowledgeable, and truly cares for her patients. Thank you Sutter PT!

If I would have the option, I would have given Zero Star. We have Humana PPO Insurance and my son see ENT and Primary care in Sutter, I normally see doctor in Dignity Elk Grove, My doctor referred me to get Physical therapy as I am a dentist and I was having severe neck pain on and off since past few days. I got call from this facility today and left voicemail that we don't take your insurance so we will not be able to see you. I was amazed as I would have care less even if I have to pay everything out of pocket and get necessary treatment but receptionist remarks that we will not see you was not good and as myself healthcare provider I know we don't accept all insurances but we tell patients that they can see us as our of pocket but wont deny treatment or appointments. I would never recommend going to Sutter to anyone of my patients either. Sutter should train their office staff how to leave voicemails to patients before they provide services.

I have been to this facility for various problems during the last few years. The staff are always professional, kind, and compassionate. I would highly recommend Sutter Physical & Hand Therapy.
