My regular doctor is at this location--he's knowledgable and helpful. This review is for the reception I got when I stopped in to see if I could get care for a puncture wound. I knew that Urgent Care services were going to change, but was unaware that this clinic had already long ago stopped offering them. The receptionist asked if I had an appointment and I said no--I had a wound that needed attention. She said "We aren't Urgent Care, and haven't been for three years." Okay...my mistake. Then she said the "other Scotts Valley clinic" had an appointment the next morning. My other choice was to drive to Santa Cruz' main office Urgent Care, but the receptionist told me "they'd triage [me], and will probably not see you today." I raised my eyebrows, and she said "Yeah, Urgent Care has changed a lot." I'm not a system-gamer, or a frequent flyer in Urgent Care/ER: not even close. So I did drive to Santa Cruz, but didn't bother with PAMF. Went to Doctors on Duty instead. They were kind, efficient, and sent me home cleaned up and bandaged, in a reasonable amount of time, without a brush-off. ------- Update: had a routine *appointment* and the receptionist was pleasant this time. This policy isn't her fault. It's Sutter/PAMF--and what I gather from these experiences is that Sutter doesn't even want you at their facilities unless you have an appointment; it feels like they're averse to dealing with Urgent Care at all.

I received the most disappointing health service of my life. When I came in to urgent care for a check-up, I asked how much it would cost to see a doctor. The ladies at the front had no idea and couldn't even give me an estimate. When my name was called to go to the office. The nurse took my vitals then I was left alone in the office for over an hour before the doctor came in. When I had to have lab-work done, nobody from the company called me to tell me my results. Then I got the bill. $330 for a ten minute conversation with the doctor. Then they billed me for labs that I didn't even take. Customer service called me to try to resolve these issues and promised me a call back with everything resolved within 2 days. It's been two weeks and I still haven't been contacted. The whole organization is a joke. Go anywhere else for medical service.
