I loved my experience I have had with Summit Performance and Health. I originally went in for a running analysis. I had been in PT for a couple of months at another place and I still had knee pain. I figured there must be something wrong with my running gait. There was nothing wrong with my gait, but Zoe definitely found the problem. Now that we knew what the problem was we were able to correct it. I was able to complete my half marathon in May and I am getting ready to do another half marathon in less than a week. Zoe was so nice and patient with me and answered my millions of questions. The key difference I noticed between doing PT at Summit Performance vs Rock or Swift is that you work directly with the PT the whole time and generally for 45-60 min. You are not handed off to a PT tech after 3-5min, so they can stay with their quotas of a patient every 15 minutes. Another great thing about Summit is that the PTs are active runners, cyclists and rock climbers. As a runner, I was able to have a physical therapy plan that was geared toward running, not just a generic plan you give everyone with knee pain.

I’m updating my review after completing the 2024 Reno Tahoe Odyssey (RTO), my first major event since a foot injury. I owe immense gratitude to Hannah at Summit Performance and Health for her encouragement and physical therapy, which prepared me for this event! I initially visited Summit Performance and Health for a foot injury sustained while bouldering. PT Hannah provided an expert diagnosis and tailored exercises that not only addressed my injury but also strengthened my foot, enhancing my climbing abilities. Her expertise also guided me on safely returning to running, taking into account a previous injury. The staff’s friendliness and deep understanding of the needs of climbers and athletes made the experience exceptional. I am truly grateful for their support!

I had a great experience over the last year working with Zoe to help rehab a nagging shoulder injury. I have worked with many PTs in the past and Zoe was the most knowledgeable with how to adapt therapy and training for outdoor recreation, specifically rock climbing. The most amazing physical therapy you will ever receive. Headed by Dr. Zoe Caliendo, Yosemite rock climber and super intelligent doctor who listens well. Beautiful gym facility in Reno, fast scheduling, great customer service. I have seen a lot of physical therapists since the accident that left me handicapped, and as a professional adaptive athlete this clinic has my highest recommendation.

Summit Performance has been a game changer for me. For years I’ve dealt with some nagging problems from an active lifestyle of skiing / climbing. In the past year or so I’ve made huge strides with their help (eliminating shoulder impingements, other mobility issues) really upping my game and quality of life. Zoe also did a full functional fitness assessment which is helping me to avoid future issues / deal with problems in advance. I’ve come away feeling better and being more aware of my own body. Highly recommend.

Beginning in the summer of 2023, I started on a recovery process with Zoe and Hannah at Summit PH to address a climbing-related finger injury. The finger treatment quickly evolved into a comprehensive overhaul of my movement patterns, addressing restrictions in my shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, and ankles. I suspect some of these restrictions originated from an injury over a decade ago and probably also contributed to the finger injury last summer. I can't thank Zoe enough for her exceptional care and personalized approach to my recovery journey post-meniscus injury. Not only did she guide me through many effective rehabilitation exercises, but she also went above and beyond by providing one-on-one strength training to help me make major gains in my main sport which is climbing.
