Summit Healthcare Community Clinic

Super unprofessional. I set my husband up an appointment with nurse practitioner Ted for his severe case of plaque psoriasis. My husband only needed a referral to the dermatologist, which he has to get every 1-2 years and went in knowing this and telling this to Ted. For some reason he didn’t think he had to send the referral, my husband would have no reason for seeing Ted if he didn’t need the referral! I called dermatology and no referral so called summit, they said they weren’t sure why it wasn’t sent but would send it. Few days later I called and no referral. Called summit again and same response. Called dermatologist today and still no referral! Summit now says pending 7-10 days since my last call. The other 2 calls were disregarded?? Having to jump through hoops and having to remind the doctor to do his job has cost valuable time with my husband while he suffers in pain during this waiting game. We will not be back here.

This Summit Health Care Clinic is great. Dr. Bornstein and Devin Porter are exceptional Medical Professional's. They also have the friendliest nicest Office personnel. They are all very welcoming. The Nurses are perfect. We feel very happy and secure to have such all around excellent Healthcare!

Friendly office staff, lovely facility, minimal wait time and Ginger was great with my 4 year old and myself. Also we are self pay and I feel it was reasonably priced. We also got our medication right there! It beats having to drive to ShowLow and wait for hours.

My husband sliced his hand open during our camping trip and this place was the closest to us versus having to drive 39 miles to Showlow. The staff was amazing as each member was attentive, kind and humorous! They made light of a situation that could have otherwise put a damper on our trip. Some laughs and a few stitches later, we were out of there in less than an hour. Great service overall

I went to the clinic because I couldn't keep anything down. Dr Bornstein was wonderful! He was attentive and kind. He took te time to listen, which isnt always the case. He prescribed me medications and gave me some helpful hints on how to start keeping things down again. I thank the staff of this clinic, I can't believe some of the reviews here, it is almost like it wasn't the same pleace that I went!

This is a clinic that services our community - it is not a hospital nor is it a critical care center. They do a great job - and can reference you to another doctor if needed or to the hospital in Show Low - which, by the way, has an excellent ER.

What is the purpose of this clinic? Close this useless facility down. Only two people working and can't help anyone.

If you need something real simple like a couple of stitches in your hand, ok. But if it is something that YOU don't know what it it, neither will they.
