My experience with Debra and Gina at Sterling Physical Therapy was excellent. I had total right hip replacement surgery at the end of August 2014, and selected them because they are close to where I live in Simi Valley. Gina, my actual therapist, was clearly very experienced and also very pleasant to work with. I was amazed at how quickly the rehab of my right hip progressed, and in great part credit it to her knowing what to do. She found the balance between being careful not to overdue the rehab, but also was able to push me to get results. Thanks again Sterling.

In 2009, I was diagnosed with a bulging disc in my lower back and arthritis. At that time, I was in constant pain and whenever I tweaked my back I would be unable to walk for a week to two weeks at a time. My back doctor recommended physical therapy which I had never been to before. I decided to scour the internet to find a physical therapy facility that called to me-the only one that really stood out was Sterling Physical Therapy. Once I saw Sterling in person I was blown away- here was a state of the art facility in pristine condition, it felt very spa like instead of like a medical building, and it even had a heated pool to do aquatic therapy in. I soon found out that Deborah the owner extraordinaire's philosophy was for the physical therapists to develop personal relationships with each patient and to treat each patient like they are the only patient in the world. The patients here are treated like royalty,,,It is a far cry from most medical offices in Los Angeles where you are made to feel like a number, rushed in and out of your appointment, and the staff never takes the time to get to know you. I have been fortunate enough to work with most of the amazing physical therapist at Sterling- Chris, April, Rachel, and Gina. The staff is incredibly hard working, compassionate, and dedicated to helping the patients improve their health. Thanks to Sterling, I have been able to successfully manage my back pain by building up my core strength to the point where my back never goes out any more! Thank you Sterling!!

My experience at Sterling was easy from the first appointment to my discharge. I live in Westlake Village and had an ACL repair (knee surgery) My doctor referred me to therapy near my home. I was one of 10 people in a room with one aide. I saw the therapist one time at the eval and that was it. I thought "am I going to get better when there was really no true therapist treating me?" So after 2 visits I called my doctor for another therapy office and he told me " The best therapy is across town in Simi Valley called Sterling, if you want to make the 15 minute drive I will fax them your info and a prescription" My answer was YES. I called Sterling and was giving an appt for the next day. The drive was easy and they are right off the 118 fwy. I was seen by Chris and he was the only therapist that treated me from the beginning to the end. No aides, no hassle, just great care. Debra in the office worked with my insurance so I would only have to pay a $5 copay instead of $45 at the other facility ( Sterling was not in my network and I paid less! ) I am back to my normal routine now and I can drive my car with a clutch without pain in my knee. So, my doctor was right, Sterling is the best.

I came to Sterling for their aquatic therapy program. I am a young woman having to deal with the painful nuisance of enduring hip dysplasia. Using the pool in a physical therapy program was immensely beneficial for me. Working out in the water helped me to remain active while strengthening my hip muscles and ligaments. My hip pain is greatly reduced and I am able to work out at my local gym without dreading pain after. I no longer have to take anti inflammatory medication on a daily basis. Thank you so much for helping me get back to my active lifestyle!

In December of 2011 I sprain my medial collateral ligament on my right knee. After having a MRI, I found out I had a large amount of joint effusion (swollen knee), severe synovial proliferation (inflammation), chondral defect (cartridge damage), complex Bakers cyst, and Osteoarthritis. I was not able to bend my knee nor could I straighten it. Walking and moving around was difficult. It was suggested I opt for physical therapy, but I was not sure where to go. I was on my way home from a doctor’s appointment when I noticed that there was a building in a shopping center, Sterling Physical Therapy and Aquatics. From the minute I called them to walking through the door I have had nothing but great satisfaction from Deborah, the owner, and her staff. They are all professional, team oriented, respectful, and they have compassion for their patients. They listen to what their patients have to say. Deborah set me up with a terrific therapist, Chris. My first appointment was a consultation where we discussed what occurred, what was my goal, and what are my best options. During that time Chris measured the bend in my knee to be 93%, which was way below what a normal bend should be. He started me off on some no impact exercises to work the fluid out of my knee, which was difficult for me. Over the years I dislocated my knee on multiple occasions which instilled a fear in me. I immediately tensed up when a doctor, or even Chris, go near my knee. But with his direction, caring nature and detailed instructions my sense of fear diminished. Within 3 months I went from a 93% bend, icing my knee three times a day, not being able to really walk to a 132% bend, working out in the gym, to walking. What a great sense of accomplishment. Before this occurrence I was an avid hiker (hiking up steep hill sides) and attending various active events. To be brought down the way I did was traumatic for me. But all thanks to Sterling Physical Therapy and Aquatics I am now able to get back out and the things I love to do. I would like to express my great appreciation for everything that Deborah and her entire staff did for me, at all time they represented the business in the most professional and positive way. I certainly will be recommending Sterling to anyone who might need there very special skills, thank you so much I highly recommend them to EVERYONE!

If you’re looking for a good Physical Therapy clinic, I would highly recommend Sterling Physical Therapy and Aquatics in Simi Valley. Before I started P.T., I had a severe neurological disorder. I was unable to walk, write, work or do basic housework. I was in pain 24/7 and in need of an In Home Caregiver. After just 6 weeks of P.T., I was able to write again and walked a mile! Within months, I had pretty much a full recovery. I can now take care of myself and work for the first time in over a year. The staff at Sterling P.T. are the best! Deborah, Rachel, April and Susie are so committed to their patients. Unlike most facilities, they have a pool there (great for gentle exercise) and you get private one on one care. But the thing that sets them apart from other clinics, is that THEY GENUINELY CARE ABOUT THEIR PATIENTS!!! They are all very professional, compassionate and dedicated. I was told by doctors that my condition was a life long disease so I never expected to recover. This experience has opened my eyes to the power of Physical Therapy and given me hope again!
