Step By Step Pediatric Therapy Inc.

After my child’s initial assessment with Easterseals the service coordinator called me discuss which therapy group I would like to open up my son’s case with. I was so undecided not knowing anything about any of the therapy companies presented to me. So I let it up to the system and was teamed up with Step by Step. My son’s speech therapist, Stacey Adam, was a blessing to not only my son’s (speech) life but to our whole family. My son went from saying 3-5 words in the beginning to “graduating” from ST 11 months later. Stacey not only helped my son improve his speech and amount of words in his vocabulary she helped teach me how to help him during the time between sessions. If you’re just beginning this speech journey with your little one your therapist will spend an allotted amount of time in your home on a weekly basis and it’s up to the caregivers to continue what your therapist is recommending! Stacey and I would review my son’s progress and what we needed to continue working on and areas for improvement. Stacey is a beautiful person with a big heart and her passion reflects in the sessions with your child. She was professional, punctual and extremely organized. From the moment we first met Stacey, our son’s speech therapist, we were impressed. She was punctual, prepared, and kind. She was observant and attentive to our son’s needs. Stacey always included us in the therapy process by giving us things to try and ways to help our son when she wasn’t there. Stacey never made us feel like we asked too many questions. She listened to our concerns and responded with a plethora of ideas! Overall, I can’t say enough wonderful things about the relationship that she developed with our family over the year (plus) of therapy. Our son is shy, but he warmed up to Stacey quickly and grew to love her! Now, our son doesn’t stop talking, and it’s all thanks to her hardwork and dedication!

We have been working with Alisha and Stacey from this agency for months. I always say I hit the therapist lottery!!!!! Alisha is our SI and is knowledgeable in all areas. Our son has been working with her for 10 months and has made great improvement with help from her. She provides us with great feedback and ideas to work with him after she leaves. You can tell she truly cares about him and that means the world to us. She has helped us immensely, I often lean on her and ask questions. I trust her and know she would never point us in the wrong direction. Stacey is our SLP. She is so good with our son. She adjusts her teaching techniques to what works best for the child. Stacey has made a world of difference with our son who is now able to communicate his wants/needs not only to us but other care givers. Stacey is down to earth and gives real advise using personal experiences as well as her education. She definitely cares about the kids she works with as she is always available to make a new PEC pictures or setting up a book. You can’t go wrong with this agency. I have nothing but positive experiences. I could go on and on. It really does take a village and I’m happy to have them in mine.

Stacey was our son's speech therapist and we love her! She knows what she's doing but it was also evident that she was truly invested in my son's success and really cared about our son outside of his speech needs. She was absolutely wonderful and I would recommend her to anyone without hesitation.

Step by Step has introduced two amazing therapists into our lives who have become part of our extended family! Chris P. (OT) and Jen C. (ST) are incredible people. They are patient, kind, and most importantly they care about our son's success. They have built a positive relationship with our son which in turn has helped him progress tremendously over the past 7 months. We are excited to continue working with them and we are so grateful to Step by Step for setting us up with such awesome therapists!

Had a great experience with Step by Step Therapy. Our OT Stacey was amazing with my then 2 year old son. When we started he was not saying any words, but after only a year was saying 5/6 word sentences. Stacey made our weekly sessions fun and was always encouraging.

Step by Step is awesome and my son’s ST Stacey Adam was wonderful with him until he transitioned to the IU. She helped him go from only saying one syllable at a time to saying 2-3 words at a time before he aged out of EI. She always went out of her way to find and create things that would hold my son’s interest so he would get the most out of therapy. She was always wonderful with him and we miss working with her.

Step By Step has been involved with our son for a year and a half now and we absolutely love the therapists. Our son has formed such a great relationship with them and he gets so excited when they arrive. I've also noticed huge improvements in his abilities as they've given us great tools to use. Highly recommend.
