Great team, atmosphere and skills! Everyone is very professional. I’ve worked mostly with Matt, who is kind, compassionate and patient—but also tough when it’s best for you. Plus, he has a great sense of humor. I really appreciate the team effort among the therapists. I also think the ice/heat team is very competent and responsive, as are the coordinators on the business side. Howard runs a good clinic!

I've received excellent care at S.T.A.R. in Redwood City, initially over the past 2-3 years to relieve symptoms of shoulder injuries and arthritis, and this year to rehab from arthroscopic surgery to repair the damaged shoulder. The facility is well equipped and the staff both knowledgeable and caring. I was fortunate to work with both Jason and Michelle for 8+ weeks after my surgery. While they followed my surgeon's recommended rehab program, they provided variety to keep it interesting and, most importantly, listened to my status reports before and during sessions to adapt the session to how I was feeling each day. The entire staff cultivates a friendly, informal atmosphere more like a club than a formal medical office, which I consider a plus since it adds an element of fun to the rehab process. I can recommend S.T.A.R. without reservation to anyone seeking therapy for joint problems and rehab from surgery.

LOVE this office! After just a few months I’m well on the road to recovery and getting back to my normal self. I’d tried a different PT office for a few months before this one and saw no improvement. I felt some relief after the first STAR appointment — it was incredible. Jason and Michelle were my rock star therapists who explained what the issue was, probable causes, how we’ll treat it and what expectations were. The location is clean and well stocked with all that you’d need. A welcome bonus is the heat treatment you get before/after your session, helping the body warm up to and recover from the session instead of jumping into it cold. I highly recommend STAR to anyone looking for PT whether from an accident, an injury, or to correct something that’s gone wonky.

My experience at STAR has been exceptional. I look forward to every visit. Jessica has gone out of her way to include exercises that benefit my martial arts workouts. The entire staff is kind and friendly. I always feel so welcome. The facility is spotless thanks to the physical therapy aides who are constantly wiping down equipment.

I'm very happy I decided to go to STAR with my injury. I came in with very limited movement in my shoulder and Remy helped me safely increase that movement as well as strength to get me back to where I was before my injury. The therapy is top notch, my recovery goals were met and surpassed with the professional guidance at STAR. Remy and his coworkers maintained a very clean and professional clinic that made me feel safe and comfortable to attend. Everyone at STAR was very friendly which made spending time getting ice, stretching out on the table or spending mind numbing time on the arm bike enjoyable as they always knew how to make you smile. From Remy's Haloween princess dress or festive Christmas moose costume the clinic was a place I was happy to spend time. 10/10 would recommend.

I injured my ACL and very glad to choose STAR. I am working with multiple PTs very smoothly: Michael, Marie,Jessica and Jason are super professional PTs to help me after the surgery. The assistants are also very friendly to help with the rehab: Kate, Austin and Cody give enough attention to each patient. Everyone working there are super nice and know how to help me. They give me specific instructions for each step and encourage me to move forward, great team work for taking care of me! Strongly recommend!

I'm very grateful to the kind and knowledgeable staff at Star Physical Therapy for taking me from pain management to strength training. I was able to see several therapists, including Remy, with a variety of expertise and different techniques who helped in my healing. I'm excited to be back doing the things I enjoy, pain free!

I only have good things to say about STAR. EVERY single person who works there is nice, friendly, warm and welcoming. I've worked with 3 different physical therapists at STAR and they were all great: good exercises (challenging but doable), explanations of what needs to be done and why. COVIDwise, they sanitize everything a patient uses.
