Avoid Stanford at all costs - other local choices aren’t really great but these guys are the bottom of the barrel. Unwilling to break down and explain bills, and trying to charge for lab tests that failed to produce results (surgeon failed to collect sufficient samples).

I felt like I was waiting on the phone forever just to be transferred to someone else everytime I asked a question. And it took me to confirm my insurance wasn't approved by calling them days before my appointment.

Stanford Primary Care is only a big brand name among healthcare clinics. The majority of physicians at Stanford Healthcare only push for pills without getting into the root cause, and they often overdiagnose and misdiagnose medical conditions. Stanford Primary Care also has some unprofessional care coordinators and nurses.

I would try my best to avoid here. Had a new patient visit and several days later received a surprising bill!!! They don't tell you what service is covered by your insurance and once you used the service you have to pay the incredible amount of money for that.

Alyssa who picks up phone calls (reception??), NP Eric Crizer, and MD Neha Narula are the best!! So sweet and I never feel rushed, ans always feel supported and taken care of. Cannot say the same for my experience with everyone at this clinic, but the majority are wonderful too.

Avoid at all costs. I went for my annual checkup which is covered by insurance. They did the usual checkup but asked me about any other problems. I told my physician and she spent 5 minutes giving me advice, stretches, etc. and recommended some over the counter pain killers. I didn't care for any of that since it was no big deal and knew it'd go away within a few days. Later I receive a bill and turns out that the short 5 minute consultation in addition to the check-up ended up costing me $200... I tried calling and messaging but they said there was nothing they could do as the short consultation was labeled under something that would not normally be covered by insurance. Incredibly shady and they didn't tell me upfront about any of this. These people tricked me and even forced me to get this appointment taken care of. Add that on top of how consistently late they are to every appointment. They will shame you if you're late, but every time I've gone I've had to wait at least 30 minutes after my appointment to just be called in. These people don't care about you or your health. They're not even courteous enough to show up on time on an empty day, so why trust them with your life?

Front desk is terrible. They are unwilling to help, rude and show sarcasm. People are coming in with various health issues which include memory or trouble understanding. They should be more considerate of that and willing to help a patient when they have questions or refer them to the proper department AND provide the contact information. Please hire new front desk staff!

So far I've experienced excellent care. I trust and love my PCP - Gabriela. I visit this place for Gaby, not Stanford. Shoutout to Bryan Wu (physio) for the excellent physio help . Folks who're having billing issues IMO are learning about sky high medicare costs because of low awareness and or lack of insurance coverage
