I was very disappointed with Stanford physical therapy. The therapist had very little time to work on a person. The front desk constantly has issue with receiving the prescription from the doctors office.. I have been used to dealing with Stanford in Palo Alto and Stanford here in Livermore is definitely not up to the standard of care that Stanford prides itself on

My therapists, Cheryl and Nicky (Dominique) did such a wonderful job getting me to function after rotator cuff surgery. They were professional along with being kind and patient. After previously undergoing p.t. for a different problem at a facility that was closer to my home in Pleasanton where it was not very clean, was dilapidated, and the therapists had little patience for a senior, I very much appreciated the cleanliness and the staff at the Stanford facility. I have nothing but praise for the therapists and the p.t. practice as a whole. After seeing/hearing the rapport between other therapists and patients, I believe that you can have faith in all the therapists there.

This place is awful. I don't even know where to begin. First, the front desk is always a train wreck. I went for six weeks and no one at that desk ever looked up or acknowledge me. They were either on the phone or talking to other workers. I don't think I ever saw a smile but I heard a lot of complaining. The "therapists" were no better. I saw three and only one made me feel like I wasn't imposing upon her, but I only saw her once. The other two were just plain unpleasant. They made little eye contact and less conversation, other than to issue instructions. I was uncomfortable every minute I was there. I was supposed to go for 12 weeks, but since their system only booked out so far, when six weeks was up, I didn't make any more appointments and they didn't to follow up. At the outset, they told me that my insurance covered everything, which I doubted but they said it was true. Naturally, we were hit with a bill for $900.00. One last thing: there is parking in front reserved for therapy patients, but it requires a permit. I was never told about them or offered one, even though walking was difficult for me. If I ever go to physical therapy again, it won't be to this place. If I could, I'd give it negative 5 stars.

The receptionist, was so inflexible with scheduling an appointment . I explained to the the receptionist that I have limited time to attend appointments but I could wait until the schedule opens up. I requested an appointment at 1:00 and the receptionist explain that the therapist are at lunch between 1:00 and 2:00. OK, I then requested an appointment at 12:00. Now the receptionist explains the first appointment can not be scheduled at 12:00 because the first appointment usually takes an hour and then the therapist writes the evaluation. So now she wants me to come in at 11:30. I provide a two hour window to get therapy and that's still not good enough. Lady, people have to work for living.

This place is a scam. Instead of billing my insurance under physical therapy like any other physical therapy office does they billed it as a hospital visit forcing me to pay over $450 per visit out of pocket when I should be paying $35 per visit. Stay far away from this place.

They can’t seem to submit claims to insurance properly. They’ve screwed up both mine and my husbands claims. It’s been almost 6 months and they still can’t straighten it out.
