5 stars for the nurses and the therapists. The nurses and nurses assistants are friendly, always with a smile. They are gentle and kind. I was never waiting for someone to check on me or answer the call bell. Almost every time i left my room for therapy I would come back to a fresh made bed. The therapists are also great. They work with you on what they see you need work on and then they check to see if there is anything you wanted to work on. Both occupational and physical therapists are helpful and motivating.

One of the best experiences with our mom has been at St Mary’s rehabilitation. The nurses / all staff have been amazing. Such a clean facility and everyone has been extremely helpful!! Can’t thank everyone enough for the support given to our mother.

St. Mary’s Rehabilitation Hospital I think is better then Moss Rehabilitation Center and I know almost all of the small Rehabilitation Centers are would not even be a one star. Now I have worked Hospitals and Rehabilitation Centers in PA and NJ for years and not have the staff or the time or equipment that St. Mary’s has and you get 3 hours a day and in most Centers has only up to 1 hour per day and no weekends at all. And you can’t believe just how great there doctors are, in fact Dr Furry now has an office in St. Mary’s Rehabilitation Hospital and I started seeing him in his office and he is great. The Rehabilitation Hospital has the best nurses and nurses aids and their PT and OT is the best around. The food and outside the window is beautiful and the deers are great they always come up to the window and looks in.

All nurses and texts were well together here every day. I work hard in there and they were there to help me get better. Great job for all my text and nursing staff.

Fortunately or unfortunately, but I had an opportunity to use their services before. Now, in the new facilities, it’s my daughter who has to go through a similar situation. These guys are the best at what they do. A few names that my daughter would like to mention here are RN Dawn and PT Kim. Professional, knowledgeable, courteous and compassionate people .

First of all. Almost all the nurses and therapists were very competent and kind. I did have one nurse who could not perform simple wound care. He did not know basics like covering an open wound with a secured dressing. He was very nice but needed to be taught. The two worst experiences I had were # 1) 1 was receiving therapy for 8 days using a platform walker, transferring from wheelchair to chair. I was being taught to use a tool that allowed me to put on my socks and shoes. On the 9th day a very snippy OT young therapist , Alyssa came into my room and told me that I was now not allowed to use my arm at all.She was unable to tell me who and when the treatment plan was changed , She could not tell me who’s orders.made the change Apparently they do not need plan of care updates or doctors orders to do this . There is no communication to the patient . Her decision was based on a sling I no longer wore . I had to revert to sliding on a transfer board , not using my arm at all. If this was the plan of care then why from the very first day did they have me wheeling my own wheelchair with both arms, hopping on one foot with a platform walker? l asked for an X-ray. They ordered a portable X-ray . The arm was negative of fractures.as was evidenced by a previous X-ray in the hospital. 2 days of ridiculous non essential therapy, I was able to go back to what I had been doing for the past week! No one questioned her or disciplined this conduct. No one is in charge it seems. It’s very confusing and was told to me by the staff 2) I was scheduled for showers with OT about every 5-6 days. I was in the shower totally naked , my hair full of shampoo, assisted and witnessed by an OT person . A phlebotomist walked into the bathroom with her basket of needles and tubes and said she was there to draw my blood.? !!! I refused and reported this to the supervisor who never came down to talk to me. This is a breach of my personal privacy and totally opening me to infection. How is that a sterile environment? The nurse and therapist staff were friendly and helpful. They all agreed they were frustrated with the lack of communication. No one seems to be in charge. No one to be accountable. No schedule for the wound care nurse.? She was very good at what she does but she made and changed her own time schedule.? The common areas are sparkling and shiny. The patients rooms are filthy. My room was never cleaned until I asked it to be (including sanitizing the bathroom ) The food is awful. There is no therapy offered on the weekends!! Since my discharge, I have heard many such reports. I do not know how the rating of 5 stars has been made. I was very disappointed <

The nurse staff and CNA were wonderful. Food was often not what was ordered. Could be cleaner . Therapy staff excellent. However, they seemed to have a phobia about catherizing. I was catherized at least 10 times. I’m 68 and prior to this 2 times. They kept telling me it’s healthy . It was nuts. They were acting like it was a contest. I would get up at 2am and they couldn’t wait to do it. Of course I now am irratated and it’s inflamed. I bet I’ll get an infection. They hassled me when I refused. Went up to head doctor. This is unethical . Stay away!
