Mega Thirst (Dj Thirst)
We'll it's considered OSF health care now, but didn't have the best experience with the new doctors so far. I went in on 9-18-24 with multiple symptoms. I had a bad cold, ear infection, and something wrong with my stomach which then was infecting my bowels also, after three hrs, the doctor sent me home with a prescription of Imodium AD, told me to drink lots of fluids and rest. I was also there at the beginning of the month with the same ear infection and they didn't do anything for me either. I saw my doctor on the 24th of September and she prescribed me a bunch of antibiotics. She doesn't know why the ER doctors didn't prescribe them as they clearly saw from my blood work I was very sick. I also have a very nasty bruise on my arm still from one of the nurses sticking me with a needle several times cuz she couldn't seem to find my vein. I'm hesitant about going there again even though it's closer to home for me. I might as well go to the Princeton hospital next time.

Dr. Sullivan is one of unprofessional, rude and downright disrespectful. I will never go there! I heard he was in Ottawa hospital now. I won’t go there now that he is there!

Happy they closed! My daughter went in December 5th because she was having a hard time breathing the doctor didn't even look at her just said she has an ear infection and sent us home with antibiotics after waiting an hour in the waiting room and another 4 hours in the hospital room. I took her to Mendota Hospital and they actually ran tests and found that she had air pockets outside of her lungs on top of a partially collapsed lung. she was transported to peoria children's hospital where she got the help she needed. So again I say that I'm glad that this hospital is closed!

Other than allyssa, who was one of the nurses on the ob floor, all of the staff here was extremely rude. The emergency room sent us away 3 times before we got any help at all, and the only reason we got any help at all was because our actual obgyn doctor had us admitted. If possible go somewhere else. Also, if you have kids they expect you to leave them in the car while your in the hospital. Zero stars not an option.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. My 6 month old baby was admitted for RSV. Instead of putting oxygen on her, they told me to hold a cup that they had stuck the oxygen tubing in over her nose and mouth. But this isn't the worst. During the night they OVERDOSED my 6 month old baby on steroids and hid it from me for 12 hours!!!! I immediately had her transferred to a different hospital once I found out. My Primary doctor at the time was in their hospital network but I have since changed doctors. I will not step a foot in their hospital or a doctor's office that affiliates with this hospital! From the reviews, you can tell that this hospital needs to change their culture. I can't believe that this behavior is allowed!

Type one diabetic for 30 years (with multiple complications from diabetes ) was admitted to the hospital for repeated vomiting and unable to keep down food or liquids. Was discharged two days later against the patients request- even though the patient still could not eat or drink anything. Returned to emergency room 12 hours after being discharged for the same issue. Severe dehydration and chronic kidney disease were a concern for organ failure. Emergency room staff provided IV and discharged the patient again less than three hours later and told the patient that they refused to provide further treatment despite the inability of the patient to keep fluids down. Patient went home and family ended up having to call an ambulance 12 hours later to be taken to another hospital for treatment. Recommend avoiding this hospital if possible.

Guadalupe at the emergency entrance is a real B:@;@. shes a person with some sort of trouble taking it out in people as they enter this hospital….. as my daughter and a friend and myself where going in to see a patient on the 3rd floor she immediately pointed out at my friend and told her straight out that she wasn’t able to go in we asked her why and she said because of her age … without asking for iD or not even asking her for her age we did urgue with her till she asked for an iD (did her job) and then she gave us a pass to go upstairs …. But regardless of her age she had every right to be in the waiting area…. There is way more to this story and hopefully she gets disciplined for her actions as my friend felt very discriminated and uncomfortable Hopefully the staff reads my review and she losses her job as I see it’s not the first time someone writes a bad review on this same person…… Actions need to be taken against her!!!!!!

This hospital is horrible my bf was there and while anxious and being prepared for transportation to another hospital I needed to tell him that he was okay to come home because he thought he wasn't which made him more anxious. I asked the nurse to tell him that he was okay to come home because they would not let me speak to him, I talk to him the next day and THEY NEVER TOLD HIM. a hospital is supposed to make sure they get this kind of information for the sake of their well being, I AM ABSOLUTELY LIVID, DO NOT GO TO THIS HOSPITAL
