Square One OT Lactation Support and Feeding Therapy

I am so grateful for Katelyn and her help in getting my baby to breastfeed at 13 weeks old. After working with an IBCLC, chiropractor, and DO for over 2 months, I was about to give up and Katelyn was my last resort. Instead, she was my Godsend. When we started seeing Katelyn, my 10-week-old son was unable to transfer more than 1oz per feed at the breast. Katelyn's therapy sessions were extremely effective and I was able to notice a significant difference in a week. In 3 short weeks, we were exclusively breastfeeding and gaining weight normally. I cannot thank Katelyn enough for giving me the gift of breastfeeding my child. She is extremely knowledgeable, professional, kind, and a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend her.

I had my baby right before the weekend, so when I had questions and concerns with breastfeeding I was struggling to find someone who would see me and answer calls on the weekend! Katelyn answered right away and had us come in first thing the next morning even though it was Sunday. I was so grateful she was willing to see us right away. She answered all of our questions and provided really helpful information. Katelyn had great energy and patience throughout the entire visit. I would definitely recommend her!

My baby had excessive spit up from the time he was born. I was continuously told this was "normal" or that it was reflux and told not to worry even though my baby stopped gaining weight. As a first time mom breastfeeding I began to feel helpless. I was referred to Square One OT. Katelyn is kind, professional, passionate, and did not rest until she found the root of the problem. With her help I was able to successfully improve breastfeeding my baby and discover a lip & tongue tie that went unnoticed and multiple doctors missed. He is now healthy, happy, and gaining weight.

Katelyn’s passion for her specialized field really translates when you and your precious little one see her. From the very beginning, everything as far as what to expect in the visit(s) to billing is explained. She is very thorough in her evals/therapy, very encouraging, and truly wants what’s best for you and your baby. I paid out of pocket for her visits because I felt comfortable with her and the service she provided was so worth it.

Katelyn is by far one of the most empathetic and nurturing OTs that we have worked with. She truly listens to your concerns as a parent and she offers support when you’re at your most vulnerable. She is attuned to your child’s specific needs throughout every session and she always maintains a safe therapeutic working environment. Her knowledge of sensory processing and her desire to help your child be the best they can be sets her practice apart.
