Reading some of the reviews I was concerned about being sent here for treatment and recovery for my infected abscess. My worries about the care/staff/the building/ and food were totally without merit. The food is excellent and menu varied. The staff was extremely professional and friendly. The rooms were cleaned everyday and I saw no evidence of any bugs or insects. I have seen several acute care facilities when I was an EMT driving an ambulance. The facility is clean and unlike so many places I've been too there was no odor of fecal matter or residents left in the halls tied to chairs. The food was excellent and not what I expected. So far after two weeks the menus have not been repeated. This is an acute care facility and that means there are other residents, individuals with different levels of care, and there will be times when the staff is busy with another resident. The honest truth is nobody wants to be in any type of care facility. Having a family member in a care facility means something has gone wrong. That is life and nobody likes it. Spring Valley Acute Care is an exception to the general idea when people think of a care facility. My review is this is an excellent place to recover or for long term treatment.

I wish I could give this place no stars.IT really needs to be closed down. They have so many lawsuits.NEVER send your family here they take there social security check and only give them 35$ a month they use towels to clean the patients and re use them all there supplies are very cheap. One cna told me they only change 1 or 2 times if the patient is lucky the housekeepers keep the supplies under lock and key. They have big cockroaches the plumbing is really bad they have no soap for the patients to shower properly. The food is really bad.I have to bring food a few time for my family..I took them out because they was doing medical fraud by sending my family out to the hospital just so that way their insurance can get renewed and they can make more money off of him. They only have one crash cart and most of the cna don't have the proper training. When I was there last they had a dead patients in the same room it was very sad. I found it odd that they would put my family member in the same room as a contact patient that had an infection or a contagious something. Most of the staff don't wash there hands. management is overall just bad no one cares all they want is the money and it's really a bad place to send family or to work I really feel bad for those that are really good CNAs and also for families that are really looking for someone to really take care of their family this is definitely not the place to be I can't wait till I get the news that they are shut down for fraud for scamming for neglect and for just flat out stealing the residence money..Please don't send your family here.Be Blessed everyone.

Overall I am satisfied with my stay here. My room was cleaned every day, the food for the most part was good.. The staff were very caring and helpful. The PT staff did a good job encouraging me. The only problem I had was the AC didn’t work but they gave me a box fan

The DSD STAFF ARE HORRIBLE They don’t know how to speak to people and they are very rude to ASSISTANT NURSES like me they have no consideration for “NEWBIES” They barley want to hire anyone the pay rate is horrible . I went in for a job they sent me for orientation never told me a time or the dress attire I had to wear I arrived at their facility the day I figured to come in PROPERLY GROOMED AND THEY TURNED ME DOWN RUDLY .

Your loved ones deserve better! Staff (some not all) are inattentive and jaded to patients in pain. My mom was struck by a truck, airlifted to a hospital, and was placed in the the PCU. Subsequently, she was transferred to Spring Valley Post Acute for rehabilitative care and therapy on doctor's orders, since it was close to her home, and she would need therapy for a fractured vertebrae and a broken sternum. When I got wind of the transfer, I checked out their website, before heading "up the hill" (I live in Ontario), and found it characterized itself as a top-of-the-line care facility. Don't let the website fool you, the reality was much different. When I arrived, the smell that permeated the entire facility is one that you can relate to if you've ever been around elderly people who do not bathe or have been washed. The facilities are outdated and some of the equipment is old and close to obsolete (I can tell, I worked as a biomedical equipment engineer for years). When I got to the room my mother was in, the cleaning lady was on her way out. To her credit, the room and the bathroom looked clean. However, when I moved my mom's oxygen concentrator, a dying cockroach kicked and moved about on its back as it died. I immediately recalled the cleaning lady to remove the roach. If you have roaches in the rooms, how bad is the problem in the kitchen? Looking up, I found a vent cover being held in place and covered by duct tape. When I drew back the curtains, I found that the windows were open and her room was directly in front of an area where they wash things or equipment: there was a long hose, buckets of liquid (what I can only assume were cleaning agents) and tossed out equipment and pieces of metal (for recycling?). Is this a place you'd want to keep your loved one? Google "spring valley post acute litigation", and you get an idea of what can happen in places like this. Moreover, she needed physical therapy and the one time a therapist came in, in the 3 days she was there, he tried to fit her into leg braces. She needed a body brace! I had to get her out of there ASAP. With the help of a relative, we found an amazing place in Chino and she's been getting top-notch care at a facility that is up-to-date in both infrastructure and equipment. Sure, it's far from her home, but the quality of care and therapy is beyond compare.

This place is trash. Inhumane facility. Don't bring your loved ones here. Food smells rotten, filthy facility, staff stays inside a storage room on their phones all day. Laughing and being loud. They have no knowledge about what is going on with the patients. Disgusting individuals. Dirty, sheets, blankets, floors, bathrooms, etc. They can't even provide spoons, strwad for patients who need it. Evil individuals.

If there were Negative stars to give, I would. From the Administrator Wenda, to Director of Staff, Director of Therapy Mary, Director of Records Ida, and the Director of Admissions Corina, were and are the most unprofessional people I had Ever dealt with in my life. From returning calls, getting hung up on, even other medical entities that communicated with them regarding my dad we're hung up on as well. The only thing this facility is good for is lying to cover their butts and collecting money from our loved ones. My dad was in for rehab on hip surgery. I feel since the family can't go into the facility to see what's going on, they seem to do what they please and how they please without accountability to the outcomes. But know this, we are not done. Please DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVED ONES HERE AT ALL.. Do your research on this place before trusting them AT ALL. Your loved ones could leave worse for wear or worse PERIOD if left in their care.. I beg you, DO NOT TRUST THIS FACILITY AT ALL.

I have been a guest here for over a month and have several more months to go. From the moment I was received here I have been met with nothing more than great care and attention by all staff members. I have not had nor have I seen any kind of neglect nor disrespect by a singlemployee or free staff. All of us guests are afforded clean linen, hot and clean showers, got food and are greeted by genuine smiles by all staff. Sure it's bit the newest or highest tech amenities as some other facilities but the facility is by no means run down nor neglected. I am blessed to have great care and friendly staff daily. I highly recommend this place to anyone who needs constant care as well as anyone who simply needs a place to heal. You will not be disappointed. Guest Jerimy Valerio is writing this reviewand I am happy to do it. Thank you for taking your time to read my opinion. God bless
