If you love your loved one. Don't let them go here. My Dad was in here 60 days. He keep getting worse. I came to visit to find ants all over my Dad's bed two days in a row. When I told the administrator he said will haven't you ever had ants in your home. I said yes but not in my bed. The administration is heartless. While my husband and I was visiting Daddy. We took him outside in the courtyard. When we went outside we found a man who had fallen out of his wheelchair lying in the ground. I went back in and told a nurse. If we didn't go out there who knows how long the man would have been on the ground. There was some good people thier. Scott, Melissa and Sandra. These are people who worked there who truly do care. I took my Daddy home. Next day he was in the hospital. He die a week later.

Unless your loved one has 100% of their mental faculties, physically capable of dressing, feeding, and can advocate for themselves, do not send them here for short term rehab. They lie, cover things up, and cover for each other...then blame the patient by saying "they have cognitive impairment, they don't know what happened". My mom was dropped by the CNA 4 times that we know about. Constantly yanked up by their underwear instead of using a belt. The doctor put her on antipsychotics right after admission (even though my mom was NEVER on them before) stating all stroke patients need them due to "sundowning". They overdosed her on multiple meds and she had to go to the ER multiple times for injuries. Again, her record didn't reflect any of the falls, or negligence. The CNAs favorite thing to do was roll her into the shower (she was lucky? to get a shower 1x a week, usually it was once every 2 weeks, after begging of course) before the water was warm. They would also re-serve the same food the next day if she didn't eat it. How do we know? We put peas under the sandwich bread, and guess what she was served the next day? Same sandwich. I could go on and on, there were so many screwups within 3 months I wrote a novel. I can't attest for the long term care wing, but the short term side was an absolute disaster. I'm sure there is a good/decent SNF somewhere, but this one isn't it. Mary was the only good person in that facility, literally an Angel. The administrator only made excuses and tried to gaslight my entire family. Several of us work in Healthcare and aren't as dumb as she thinks we were. My advice is to keep looking, and if you must use this place for short term rehab, for the safety of your loved one document every. single. thing. Vist at random times, and if your relative says fishy things are going on, please believe them. Jacquelyn, you certainly didn't want to speak with us at the time we were bringing up our concerns, so what exactly would the point be now?

Amazing facility and great staff!! Definitely would recommend to anyone and everyone. Best rehab services available in Polk county. So much better than Astoria!!!!

Top notch facility. Very beautiful inside with lots of things to do. Movie theater, ice cream parlor, library, quaint enclosed gardens with paved sidewalks,a gym that has a sauna, game rooms, screened in porches. Definitely by far the best I've ever seen. My parents are in good hands.

I love spring lake. It's easy to get hold of the administrator and have her answer quickly to my needs. The therapy department is top notch. And if I ever need this place again I'll be here.

I was sent there by my Insurance company. The nursing staff was great on the 700 floor. Everyone on that floor treated me well. The Administration and admission ladies were wonderful. They would speak to me every time they seen me or stop by my room and made sure I didn’t need anything. Physical Therapy was good and made sure that I was careful with all the equipment. When I was discharged I went home and never had Therapy at home. I ended up doing outpatient therapy and it has helped me get my back stronger. If you would like your family to be well taken care of. Then I would choose Spring Lake Reb. For them.

In order to offer a rating I have to give one star. The facility is very clean. There are some great care staff there and the therapy staff is top notch. However; the response times to the call button are very, very slow. Members of the care staff are insensitive and offer no care. My family member was denied basic hygiene care. She was made to feel bothersome when she cried out for help due to uncomfortable pain. I feel the staff is overwhelmed due to low staffing. Those members who do care are stretched beyond the ability to offer the right help and those that don't care are shift riders and offer bare minimum assistance. My family member suffered unnecessarily while there. Overall horrible experience.

My husband was at Spring Lake for 7 weeks, I couldn't have asked for better care from the administrator and administration staff, patient care, therapy, housekeeping, food service and so many others. No matter where you are, there may be issues, any we had were addressed as soon as possible and resolved, cannot expect more than that. Not only did they take excellent care of my husband, they always made sure I was ok. I can, from personal experience say they care about their patients and their families. Thank you Spring Lake!
