SportsCare of America - Sparta

I HIGHLY recommend the SportsCare Sparta location. The staff are all hardworking, true professionals that go out of their way to provide a warm, welcoming, and safe environment. I have recently worked with both Physical Therapists ALEX PICILLO and RACHEL HOPKINS at this location and I can't say enough great things about both who provide top notch care and instruction. Alex and Rachel are sincere, kind, take a genuine interest in patients' wellbeing and are dedicated to ensuring their patients are safely progressing towards and achieving their physical goals. They take time to explain everything and provide positive reinforcement along the way. My experience with Alex and Rachel has been such a positive one and I am so thankful for their care. The Sparta location is ideal for the Physical Therapy journey for anyone at any age.

In October 2023, I developed Bell’s Palsy, which left me with little to no facial movement. After trying physical therapy, laser treatment, and acupuncture with no significant improvement, my neurologist told me it had become chronic Bell’s Palsy, with less hopeful chances of full recovery. Then I found Alex at SportsCare in Sparta, NJ. She had access to a handheld pointed E-stim machine, which is incredibly difficult to find nowadays, especially for treating Bell’s Palsy. Even though I was four months into my condition—beyond the typical recovery period—Alex knew exactly which points to target, sparking muscle and nerve movement where none had occurred for months. Over several months, Alex worked with me closely, helping me regain not only my facial expressions but also my ability to say certain words, eat and drink without spilling food from my mouth, and even close my eye properly to avoid damage to my cornea. Her dedication, patience, and expertise helped me recover in ways I had only hoped were possible. She literally gave me my smile back. I highly recommend Alex at SportsCare to anyone. Her knowledge and access to specialized tools like the E-stim machine are incredibly rare, and she’s an expert in helping people recover from Bell’s Palsy. I am forever grateful for her help.

SportsCare of America in sparta is absolutely the best Pysical Therapist that I ever been too. I've been to at least 5 different places and never even came close to the advanced treatment I get at SportsCare. Off the top of my head I've been to Kessler Rehab, Ivy Rehab, Trinity Rehab, and Drayer Rehab. Some were better than others and I'm not saying they are bad but SportsCare of America is miles ahead of them in my opinion. I am an extreme sports enthusiast from surfing, dirtbiking, sky diving, skating, and thats just to name a few so I've had my share of broken bones and rehabilitations. I have the pleasure of working with Rachel all my sessions and I couldn't ask for a better PT. My fiance, who is a certified personal trainer, yoga instructor, and works on injuries through massage therapy and other tools she's learnd. I took my fiance to a session to show how great Rachel is and she was blown away on how great she is. If you ever get a chance to choose who you get, definitely 100% pick SportsCare and you will not be disappointed. I'm writing this on my own so I can help people in my position pick the best PT around. As soon as you walk in your greated by a lovely lady named Dorine. I'm also dealing with my father who is home in hospice, and Dorine goes out of her way to call me on my PT days to make sure I'm given the time because sleep right now is non existent from taking care of my father. Rachel actually goes past her job and asks how he's doing and asks if there's anything she can do to help. You just feel the comradery there. Will recommend SportsCare 1000%ù regret it.

I can’t recommend the care I got here enough. I worked with both Rachel and Alex, and both therapists are extremely knowledgeable, professional, and fun to talk to! When I started coming to physical therapy, it was because of a sudden muscle pull injury, and I was afraid I would not get back to full mobility and strength. After just a couple of weeks, I am so happy to say that I am back to my full previous functioning.

I found at Sportscare in Sparta PT’s Rachel and Alex are knowledgeable, competent and kind practitioners. Their techs, Dan, Brian and Carly are also competent and caring. The receptionist Doreen was welcoming and cheerful. They listen to your concerns and implement that into your care. It was an absolute pleasure to be in their care.

Excellent care and knowledgeable staff. I had an extensive surgery, not a typical run of the mill case. My PT, Alex, listened to my concerns, acknowledged my fears and has put me at ease with her skills, extensive knowledge and compassion. She gives me the confidence I need to keep pushing forward and reach my goals. SportsCare of America in Sparta work as a team and make you feel welcome and comfortable. Friendly staff, relaxed yet professional environment, privacy maintained when needed and plenty of free parking right outside their door. 5/5 Stars is not given lightly, they really do care about each person individually.

I started going to SportsCare of America - Sparta about a week ago. I've been very pleased with the care I've received. The staff are all friendly and professional. Alex is very knowledgeable, caring and she listens well. I was able to get appointments 3 times a week at the times that work best for me. I'm delighted to have this great facility so close to my home!

I was incredibly impressed with SportsCare Sparta! I injured myself while visiting NJ from CA and the team here was able to get me right in for the PT I needed! Rachel was my primary physical therapist and she managed to ease my severe pain VERY quickly, in effect saving our big family Christmas season. We only had a three week visit to work with and I think she and Alex worked virtual miracles in easing my pain and speeding the healing of my torn muscle. Brian the aide and the rest of the team in Sparta were excellent at the work, also!
