I am a patient at Sylvester Cancer Treatment Center. My doctor sent me to Lennar to have a port put in. Someone came to get me within minutes of my arrival. The lady that started my IV was awesome. I'm a hard stick but she got a vein in one try and didn't even hurt me. I was apprehensive about the whole conscious sedation thing but the doctor and nurses that did my procedure were very reassuring. My procedure went smoothly and my recovery nurse was great. She explained what to expect in the next few days and the dos and don'ts and offered lots of advice. I wish I remembered her name. The only issue I had was that when I took off the dressing, I noticed I have blisters all over my neck and on my chest. That happens when a dressing is applied too tightly so they should remind the surgical nurses not to do that. Other than that, I'm still happy with my treatment and I will still ask to come back here when the port comes out.

On Tuesday August 30, 2022 I went in for a Port placement, the greeting by staff was fast and courteous, then I was taken to a room for preparation, a young lady, which I don"t remember her name came to insert the IV caterer in one try, even thou my veins are extremely hard to get! Then I waited what it seemed was a long, long time since I had been told that the surgery would start at 10:00 A.M., but it didn't until almost 12 noon! Roberto from the Radiology Dept. came to get me and I fell in love with his manners making me very relaxed! Inside the Radiology Room I was greeted by a very nice Manny Ramirez who did the procedure. Dr. Zacharias came in say hello and left and didn't show up again until the procedure was done! Then the nightmare started with Nurse Robyn at Recovery, which I'm sad to say is a poor excuse for a nurse! She came in gave me cup with juice and said "I'll be back"! More than half an hour later she was still missing, while I could hear her laughing and having a good time down the hall! Even Roberto from Radiology who came by and saw me was surprised that I was still there! She finally showed up with not the best demeanor and a very poor apology, that she highlighted a few things in a few sheets of papers handled it to my husband and disappeared once again! I had to dress with the catheter still in my hand! And it was not until the nice young lady who inserted it that passed by and saw me that she took it upon herself to remove it so I could finally leave! I would give praise and 5 stars to all the staff that help me, except Nurse Robyn!

I had an ACL surgery at the Lennar Medical Foundation. Billing Departments are Scammers! I pre-paid over $5,000 for my surgery according to UM's agreement amount with my insurance. It turns out my insurance had never agreed I should reach my out-of-pocket max but rather, that I should have only paid $2,050. I have been waiting for over 80 days for the credit of more than $3,000 to be "approved" even though my insurance has already paid UHealth all that was pending and EOB clearly states my patient responsibility was $2,050. Due to this financial burden I am now being forced to quit Physical Therapy as they insist even though the credit may be due that I still need to pay for services until matter processed (on their end). On the flip side, surgery and physical therapy is great. Just a shame that the billing department and processes are fraudulent. Also, no email or no physical presence in regards to billing. You need to call a number, wait 20 minutes to be attended just to be told you need to wait and keep paying. Looking into my situation I see that there have been lawsuits due to this... Hopefully this review helps someone not to pre-pay the amount before a surgery or may get Uhealth and Lennar to realize that Financial Burden and Stress also affects recovery and stops overbilling and then stall over $3,000 worth of credit for over 80 days. I will most likely have to quit my physical therapy as a result of this withholding which will affect my recovery.

My experience was amazing at the sports institute. From the moment I arrived, there were people making sure I knew where to go and how to check in. Everyone from the reception to the x ray technicians were extremely kind and professional. I saw Dr. Berezenskaya and she was very warm and thorough. I can’t recommend this place enough!

What's the point of going to a nice place and they don't solve your problem. I had a medical appointment and they wanted to charge me an alleged copay that my insurance does not have. When I asked for explanations they didn't have them and after a while they told me it was a mistake that I didn't have to pay anything. ($60.00). After 30 minutes without any explanation they tell me that the doctor will be able to see me 2 to 3 hours later. When I arrive on time for my appointment.

Just stay away from University of Miami for your healthcare needs. Every time I call for an appointment they say they are booked for months. Even when I need urgent care. Like right now am sitting here with the worst chest infection of my life, have barely slept for a week, am desperate for a chest x ray and the local clinic told me to see my primary care physician aka UM Health. Called UM Health - earliest available was a telehealth 10 days from now. To see me in person would be weeks/months. Which means to get a test for bacterial infection or an x ray I need to go to the emergency room. I mean seriously what a waste you guys are. The second I get over this I’m finding a new primary care facility. It’s like this every time I call. Insanity.

Lennar Medical Center is examplary in giving care to patients. From the moment you walk in, you are greeted and helped on signing in for your appt. The inside of the bldg is beautiful and serene. The doctors and nurses explained the procedure in detail. Robin my nurse in recovery was very sweet and nice, they all made the procedure easier to go thru. Thank you to all. I'm so happy Lennar is here for us.🤗
