John and team were awesome! They were all very warm and kind. I found their explanation of equipment usage and exercise benefits to be very helpful. My back pain is virtually non-existent and my posture is much better. I started this therapy thinking I had the beginnings of something severely wrong with my back and learned proper strength training was all I needed! I just have to continue the work. Five stars for all!

I've only been once so far, but very impressed. I was in horrible pain, like flat on my back pain. They took so much time going over what was wrong and giving me things to do, emailed exercises and set up on a portal. John was my PT and just really knew exactly what I needed. The most impressive though was how they went through everything making sure I understood fully. When I first walked in, sitting in a chair was just horrible, but I was trying, and struggling a bit, one of the asst. came over and said you are hurting too much to sit here and took me to an area where I could be comfortable awaiting my appointment. It just seemed like everyone actually cared and was very aware. 1 1/2 weeks later and I'm sitting up leaning and improving everyday. They really know their stuff. Added to - then started working with Emily there. She is so great, easy to work with, pushes the perfect amount, and so knowledgeable. They have been so great. She was absolutely wonderful. Because if their help I have been able to avoid risky surgery and on the right track to being back to full strength.

The people at Spine Zone are miracle workers. I came in with a back injury that was so bad I didn't think I would ever play harp or piano again. But they carefully (first Ryan Schrader, and then John Reinhart) developed a program that would strengthen and heal my body. The exercises were sent daily to guide me. The nutrition and mindfulness programs were also very helpful. I am very impressed with their whole person approach. I am so very grateful to them for giving me back my life! A million thanks!

Got referred to spinezone by my doctor. Did the initial session with John and he was great in coming up with a plan to address my neck and back pain. I was looking forward to working with him. For my next appointment I was planning to go but got a call from my son's school that we had to get to a hospital to get him a cast for his injury. I called the Spinezone San Marcos location 3 times, nobody picked up so I left a voicemail (this was multiple hours before the appointment ) On the same day I got charged no-show fee. Next day I went to talk to the front office lady and she said they have zero tolerance on same day cancellations. Having been in similar situations with other doctor offices before, they are always understanding that people especially parents have to deal with emergencies. It was disappointing to see Spinezone doesn't understand this and are lighting quick to charge patients no show fee.

I was referred to SpineZone by my doctor due to a car accident. I was unsure what to expect from SpineZone when I started. Now I can’t say enough good things about my experience. I was blessed to work with Benito Kare. Benito’s passion for helping others heal is evident in his never-ending knowledge about physical therapy and your body’s recovery process. Benito helped me understand the pain I was experiencing and how each tailored exercise would aid in my recovery process. He did everything possible to ensure I had a positive, healthy outcome. A sincere THANK YOU to Benito Kare for being passionate about helping me through my healing process! - Ericka C.

I am a former patient at the Spine Zone office in San Marcos. I am 70 years old and was being treated for a T-12 compression fracture after a fall from my horse. As a retired Clinical Exercise Physiologist and Emeritus professor of Exercise Science, I was very impressed with the treatment I received. I have been very active and have had multiple orthopedic injuries, many to my back, and the treatment I received was the most anatomically and physiologically appropriate I have ever had. I was especially impressed with your fitness equipment and how specific and effective it is. I was looking forward to continuing as a maintenance patient, as this type of training does not appear to be available anywhere else. I was very disappointed to learn that as a maintenance patient I would only be allowed to visit once per week. As you and I well know, for specific strength training to be effective it must be done at least 3 times per week. Doing it once per week is like starting over every week, like a “weekend warrior”. Training is specific, and no amount of home exercise or exercise at a gym can replicate what one is doing at your facility. I was told “once per week” was a decision that was made during Covid. Well, the Covid epidemic is over. It appears to me to be more of a business model than a good rehab/training program. I hope you will take this up with your staff and find a way for patients to continue the excellent treatment they receive through you program in order to not only return to their baseline before the current injury but realize their potential. Sincerely, Susan M. Hannum, M.A. ACSM Registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist Professor, Exercise Science, UCSB, retired

I have worked with SpineZone Therapist Ryan Schrader since Oct 2021. My doctor referred me to SpineZone after traditional PT, chiropractic, and acupuncture had little impact on my severe sciatic nerve pain. In addition to a disc issue, Ryan discovered that I had SI joint instability. He put together a program that gave me relief from my daily pain and helped me build my strength. I now have less pain, more confidence in the strength of my body, and have avoided spinal surgery. I continue with my maintenance exercises and highly recommend the SpineZone approach. If PT has not worked for you or if you're considering spinal surgery, please at least give this a try before you give up and get surgery. SpineZone has been a blessing for me. I hope for you, too.

I am so impressed with SpineZone. When I went there, I was sure that, because of my age, I would not ever get better. But with the expert, kind and special treatment there (and I always felt I was treated special) I have improved so much that I can now resume a lot of my normal activities and by following the exercises they designed to do at home, I am confident I will gain much more of my independence. Special thanks to Julie who worked so patiently with me.
