I am a returning patient- but I have to stop going to Spine Zone del Mar and find another place due to their lack of trainers/ therapists- it is very inconvenient to have to stop for 3 weeks because there is no time available ! I remember looking forwards to go and get stronger- unfortunately I have to look for another physical therapy place-

I took a bad fall, and sprained my SI joint, back in 5/22. Had a previous injury to L 4/5 10 yrs previous, resulting in a "spondy,"that only stabilized after prolotherapy. This current injury/xray,showed a "spondy," to L4/5,also,but not as severe. and was still having pain/nerve referals/sciatica.I started the SpineZone program,as soon as swelling went down.with Cameron Checky. He was thorough, watched me like a hawk, and had suggestions, small adjustments, when I would experience any pain/nerve reaction. THEY HELPED SO MUCH. I have been an orthopedic bodyworker/HHP.,40 + yrs.until recently retiring.Have worked w PTs, Athletic Trainers, and an exceptional Chiropactor, next door t Spinezone. After moving t maintenance,an MRI ,showed typical degeneration of that area, but no Spondy. SO HAPPY, not to have t spend $1000's on Prolo this time.I've recommended numerous clients here, and all including my husband, post/op .All with very successful outcomes. We are doing what we love, now and being very active.Corrective excercise, after any spine/cervical surgery, or injury, is imperative to full recovery in my opinion. So happy I chose them. You won't be disappointed, no matter how old you are.

SpinZone Del Mar has become a primary resource to my overall physical well being and the sole place I refer clients when they are wanting an active and collaborative physical therapy for a spine related issues. Luis is great - a true welcoming and experienced professional, Reed has advanced diagnostic skills with clear communication skills, and the overall support staff are very alert to making your time and care is a priority. I am a six star satisfied patient!

My primary care dr referred me to SpineZone for reaccuring neck and shoulder pain related to an old injury. I had previously been reluctant to put the time into PT but after looking into SpineZone I decided to give them a try and I'm sure glad I did! My evaluation was with Jenny Ross at the Del Mar location. She was amazing at understanding my situation and apprehension to start PT. Through the process she helped me realize that even though my injury was from many years ago I would still benefit from specific strengthening and stretching exercises. And that I would then have the tools to better handle flare-ups. She also addressed proper sitting and monitor placement when working on my computer & laptop - the printout was very helpful and making the changes made a difference. So, I was sold and I got started with my program right away. I worked with Kevin Reyno who was great at explaining the exercises and how they're beneficial. And, he always made sure I understood and felt comfortable with my home exercises. The online portal was a great tool to help me at home and also offered educational videos. I was so pleased with the progress I made in only a few week! I completed my program about 6 months ago, and I still have access to my online program which has been helpful when I feel a need a refresher. The staff was always friendly and the facility was clean with the equipment being sanitized after every use. I'm so happy to say that the pain and stiffness I had suffered with for years is gone, and when I feel a little twinge coming on I know what to do. Thanks SpineZone for making a difference!!

Highly recommend. The staff are knowledgeable and kind. I went in with what I thought was a back issue. With the help of staff was recommended for MRI. Through this it was found I need a hip replacement. The pain resonated into my back. Waiting for surgery now. Thank you Spine Zone.

Not "conventional" Physical Therapy in my experience for sure - but much better! Effectively weight-lifting with specialized medical machines; I had constant personalized supervision and multiple progress evaluations by a separate (senior) person. The most important thing for me in the long-run has turned out to be "Exercises and tips/tricks" they taught me to do at home to strengthen certain muscles and protect my spine and neck. I highly recommend them!

SpineZone helped me with my bulging disc and sciatic nerve pain. I had suffered for months, but felt better after just a few visits here. The treatment plan was quite simple, but effective. They seem to actually care and gave me lots of advice and tips about how to manage the pain while caring for my young kids. I only wish I had found them sooner, rather than wasting so much time and money at the chiropractor!

I had back surgery in 2014, L5-S1 herniated disc, 11mm, fragmented disc. Bad injury, easy surgery (45 min long, $47k, thanks health care). Anyways, since 2017, I have been battling with other back issues stemming from this surgery, mainly in my QL muscles. After a couple years with a two different therapist and trainers, I got another MRI and found even more degenerative issues with my lower back. The surgeon did a great job the first time, however surgeries dont FIX most back issues, only the correct diagnostics and therapy can. By getting this last MRI in 2020 , I was able to go through Scripps and get recommended to Spine Zone. Their equipment and their staff pinpoint all the correct movements (stretches and exercises) to help cure back issues. They have some crazy stat like 85% of the people who were told surgery is inevitable ended up never needing surgery after the proper training at Spine Zone. I back this statement 100%. Back surgeries are your LAST resort, don't follow the trends that were set by insurance companies enforcing more doctors to do more surgeries, its not the right path! Go to Spine Zone!
