I was in so much pain in my back I could barely walk. I did have a bit of trouble making my appointment due to the fact that I am a Veteran and also have Private insurance. They did get me scheduled very quickly! Once I got to the Spine Care for my procedure to be done the nurse was very sweet! She was also very kind and explained everything to me and my daughter. Once I on the table, the nurse’s nor the doctor spoke to each other. The doctor said big sick, and I woke up in recovery. I’m still very sore. But the pain level is a 3 where it was a 9 before. This is way more manageable. Thank you all! Denise and Family!

Spine care is OK for those looking for a quick fix, but there not going to offer anything other than a pain solution. I went to try a nerve block, it should have been a in and out procedure, but instead Spine care thinks they have to milk insurance for every penny they can. You don't have to admit someone to a medical facility to do a simple procedure. I didn't need a IV , or any Toradol. I just wanted a simple nerve block. But hey these money hungry folks just milk the insurance companies. I already know with my arthritis both osteoarthritis and rheumatoid. Fixing my neck is out of the equation. I have no long term solution, I'll end up with a fused neck at some point, and my arthritis will add to the suffering. Doctors think they have solutions, but in reality there's truly nothing. Overall assessment not worth the hassle.

Sharing one's reviews with others is like a self-inflicted wound. That is, the more stars and positive statements made the more likely those that read them will be turning around and making an appointment! Evidenced by when the length of time to get in to see your doctor has been increasing over the years. That said, don't bother reading further. Or calling for an appointment!! I was referred to see Dr. Corleone back in the mid to late nineties. I had lower back issues that came about while on active duty in the military. I have been seeing Dr. Corleone since. Why? Because if he wasn't such an outstanding doctor I would be seeing someone else! Over the years my back, shoulder, knee, elbow, and probably others. Simply amazing. He is like a miracle "Healer"!! His staff is always wonderful. Most always very efficient. Yes, there are times they may not be. But they are always very detailed and thorough in everything they do. And I'm glad that they are! And, I understand when they are running behind schedule. It is more than likely because they are attending to other patients. Patients that need the doctors and staff's attention and care more than I. And I realize that you cannot anticipate or schedule the unplanned needs of others. So be for warned...Don't see Corleone! And beware of his staff!! Blueforester * Real names left out. Do not want to share the identity of my doctor. He is busy enough!

I absolutely love Dr. Spruill. Although the treatments are temporary, it is such a blessing to feel normal for a while. I just had my 2nd Ablation yesterday and I feel great today. My first one was in February. I am able to clean my house, go to the grocery store, & play with my cats without pain. I hate taking pain pills, so these treatments are a Godsend to me.

I’ve been going to Spine often on for the last 10 years. Normal I see Dr. Sproul, but they brought on Dr. McCormick and I start to see him. The staff consist of very friendly nurses front desk and Scheduling. They have always done their best, but this past April I had the worst experience of unprofessionalism, arrogance, and poor bedside manners from Dr.McCormick . He got upset with me because I had to reschedule two appointments. And the reason why the orthopedic surgeon that he sent me to recommended me to go to Univ orthopedics. it is always the day before I suppose to seeing him. He got upset, saying that he never got the messages that I left with the nurse. And he wanted me to get a procedure done that was very uncomfortable with. He told me that I was wasting people time, and he did not want to see me and for me to leave. As we both got up, took his hand and grabs me by my arm. I asked him to take it his hands off of me. He is a very large man and he is very intimidating. He knows that I’ve had five operations back and neck, but the worst thing about it. He put a letter in my file that was totally incorrect on what happened. I’ve called DCH management to make a reported. And if they do not get him to change his poor Communication skills . They’re do need to replace him. I will not be returning to see him because I’ve started going to Ala Payne in Hoover. Completely different personality with the doctors I met there.

My first time come there and I had a very pleasant experience. Specially with the IV because most places I get stuck 4 or 5 time. But one stuck and she got it. And the staff was very nice and polite.

Dr. McCormick isn’t a good doctor at all. After reading all of the reviews about him on Google I see that I’m not the only one to say that. I was in a really bad car wreck in January of last year which really messed up my back a lot from a fractured sacrum. I told him about everything in the beginning and I even still having to use a cane bc I couldn’t walk good at that time. He didn’t listen to me at all and basically told me that my pain wasn’t from the wreck and I’m just getting old and have arthritis…. Remind you I’ve never had back pain this bad before and it only started after the wreck so I knew where the pain began. He wouldn’t listen at all and suggested nerve blocks and ablations. Ok, that’s fine. I had several different nerve block tests to see if it helped and then an ablation. Well, the last ablation that was given to me I asked to be sedated and they didn’t bc I have a lower blood pressure which is normal for me and I’ve always been sedated when I come so I felt every single thing they did although they said they gave me a lower dose sedation I knew they didn’t. The nurses were rude and unprofessional especially the one with medium length dirty blonde hair. She gave me problems last year when I came. She has the nastiest attitude. I could hear them laughing and talking about past patients the whole time I was there the last time and I could hear them talking about me this time I came in. Dr McCormick refused to do sedation today bc I drove myself to the appointment bc I didn’t have anyone to take me. He said the only way was for me to do it with no sedation and I can’t bc I have severe anxiety and it hurt a lot last time and I couldn’t be still. I didn’t want to risk injuring my back more bc I knew I wouldn’t be able to handle it or be able to be still. I even told him I’d leave the keys to my truck and come back and get the truck the next day and he still refused to do the procedure with sedation bc a nurse told him that she saw me come back and get my vehicle the last time which wasn’t true. I came back and got it the next afternoon now that I remember bc my husband got off work late. That nurse was not my nurse today, but made sure she kept coming in my room to make a appearance. She remembered me from the last time bc she was the one that was supposed to be giving me sedation and never did and I’m assuming she got a laugh out of it. When I brought it up she lied and said she did. Im not crazy and someone knows when they have been given medicine to keep you calm. I wasted my time taking off work, money on a copay for the procedure I never had and my husband wasted his time and gas money driving almost all the way from his job in Bessemer to come and pick me up bc he couldn’t take off to bring me and sit with me. It was all messed up and the next appointment for is over a month out. So apparently I’m just supposed to suffer bc I drove myself to the appointment even though I wasn’t driving home or anytime today and they knew that bc I was giving them my keys. He told me to reschedule it a month later, but I still wouldn’t have anyone to bring me?? I’ve always driven myself and him pick me up and go back to get the car the next day. They’ve always told me it was fine to do so I’m not sure what the problem was today.

Dr. McCormick is a joke. He not only wasted my wife’s time, but my time as well. He refused to do my wife’s procedure because she drove herself there although I was picking her up. She even offered to leave her keys there to prove she wasn’t trying to drive anywhere. It was a Friday so they would have had them for not one day, but three. The last time she went he got an attitude with her and so did one of the nurses bc the nurse forgot to give her the medicine to sedate her. She tried to say she did give her a smaller dose, but my wife said they gave her none and I believe her because she’s not crazy and would know, but she had to feel everything and was screaming and moving the whole time. She said the nurse did it on purpose bc she was rude. He wanted her to do it without sedation this past Friday or not at all. My wife suffers from severe anxiety and there’s no way at all she could do that. Why would anyone want to have needles stuck in there back and risk being severely hurt or paralyzed all bc of a petty lying nurse!? I spoke with all the nurses and Dr and told them I was the only one driving and they still wouldn’t and one of the nurses even lied and said she saw my wife driving afterwards last time which is insane because I wouldn’t have let her. I work every day and couldn’t take off to take her that early so she drives herself and goes back the next day to get the vehicle. After reading all of his bad reviews I’m glad I didn’t let my wife get another procedure done by him. He needs to be terminated.
