The people are wonderful. Only found one CNA who had the "outta-my-face-this-is-just-a-job" attitude I've found prevalent in other facilities. The physical facility is a little worn and showing its age..No nursing home is a great place to be, but I'm comfortable with having the love of my life here. And that''s saying something.

I love this place. As a patient I am actually hesitant and heartbroken about going home. It’s not because my home life is horrible, it isn’t. It’s because I’ve gotten attached to the staff. They are all great. From the occupational therapist (go Dorothea❤️❤️), to the PT( Charlie, Catherine, Erika, Bill❤️)and all the nurses….omg I don’t think I can mention all…Georgeann😍🤪☕️, Cathy❤️,Pam❤️,Jamie❤️,and so many more!! They even have a great staff that comes in occasionally…I’m thinking of you Louie 🥸🥸. I know I didn’t mention everyone that took care of me but please know you are thought of. They make getting dyalisis easy. They come to your room so you are comfortable while they do it. I got a schedule every night with my PT and OT times for the next day which was great. I wish they had done more group PT because I did enjoy getting to know the other patients. I think it’s very important and helpful to do some kind of socializing with the other patients. What else can I say?? Oh the techs are just kicka$&ss Carol you did everything for me!! So my experience was great. I leave tomorrow and will definitely be back when I can walk to see everyone. I promise if you stay here you will not be disappointed. You or your loved one will be taken care of.( And it is a clean establishment)

My father was transferred to Specialty Health last year. The level of care here surpasses any other facility we have been in. He stayed in the C wing. Everyone from the cnas, nurses, to the people who would take his food order were absolutely amazing and compassionate. A lot of this has to do with the cwing charge nurse, Llayna. She was amazing from the day he entered the facility. She would regularly check in on him during the day, and personally call me with any concerns. She actually became a friend along with all the other nurses and cnas. They all treated my dad like he was their family member. He recently passed, and in his final days so many of them would come in and you could see the tears in their eyes because they got so attached to him. I remember asking him at one point to come home with me. He said he wanted to stay there and did not want to leave his friends. (Which was the staff at Specialty.) He loved every single one of them. I cannot express my gratitude enough to everyone there, especially Llayna, to being by our side every step of the way through this difficult time.

The nurses and aids are very nice and helpful. They take very good care of my Mother-n law and my sister.

Specialty Health and Rehab has taken very good care of my mom. She arrived in April 2022 and has had the same nurses and aides since that moment. The food may not be great—but it is mass produced and I think the cooks do the best they can. They bathe my mom in her bed—she’d have to use the Hoyer lift to get her to the bathroom for toilet or shower use. Let’s just say she avoids the lift at all costs.😊 The staff is attentive and quickly supports my mom when she’s in pain. I admire the front staff for handling things professionally no matter what. Plus, people absolutely love her—I hear that from everyone! I believe positivity makes a difference, and I thank everyone as I walk thru the halls for taking care of the patients—from housekeepers to maintainers to therapists to aides to anyone on the staff. It’s not ideal for anyone to have to live in a nursing home, but I think this is the best in Pensacola. Thank you, Specialty Health employees, for doing your best to take care of my mom!

My father was admitted to the hospital and discharged to this facility for rehab. When visiting him at 8 PM his brief was soaked and halfway off. His bed was soaking wet even the pad under him. All of his bed linens were covered in urine and bunched at the end of the bed. There was blood pouring from his mouth and his air was on 63 degrees. He was also leaning over so much he was about to fall out of the bed. This facility has had numerous situations where the staff is not attentive nor polite to family members. When going to get a nurse or assistance there were three employees sitting down. One of which was his nurse and two others were aids. It was mentioned by the nurse the aid advised of the bleeding from the mouth during dinner feeding. Also, when the aid arrived in the room at now 8:15 she stated " he's been a mess like this since before dinner". There has been no explanation as to why he was in this shape for over 3 hours. He was also provided pain medication by the nurse at 6:30. This is three different instances where staff was aware of his condition and neglected to provide proper care. My father is recovering from a second hip surgery and has a wound that is crying to heal. Him being soaked in urine can easily cause infection and delay the healing process. As a loved one who works full time this becomes a second job for you. You do not get any sleep and you lay awake worried if your parent is receiving the level of care they deserve. Do not send your loved one here and do not allow the hospital to discharge your loved one to this facility. We have been to rehab before and this is absolutely the worst level of care I have ever experienced. It is 4:20 AM and I am wide awake writing this in hopes it will save another family member and loved one from this nightmare. Brittney Stevens

If I could do less than one star I would!! This is the most awful place around! The staff doesn’t care, the “cleaning” ladies pushed tons of trash under my dad’s bed and the administration is The WORST! DO NOT talk to or attempt to deal with Vicki, the social worker! I’ve never dealt with someone so incredibly rude from the moment I met her!! Just send your loved one to Deluna or Olive Branch and be done with it! Do not put them in this filthy establishment!!

Do not send your loved one here. There are very few good people left working here. I’m thankful for the good ones but the facility doesn’t like when they actually take care of residents. You better get ready to clean because the cleaning people only clean the walk area and get the trash. There is always trash on the floor near the beds and the walls are dirty. They spend more time in the hallway talking. The equipment is outdated and rusty. The doctor that is in this facility refuses to take orders from any other doctor that your loved one is seeing. He walks around with a clipboard without the patient’s information on it. My loved one ended up in the hospital shortly after one of his visits. They only have 2 activities so the residents spend time in the rooms or in the hallway. If your loved one has a problem with their roommates, it won’t matter to them. The food is horrible so you’ll have to bring your loved one food that they will like. I really wished they hadn’t sent my loved one here from the hospital. 10/24/23 Why is the shower room so cold? Most of the good aides left because of poor treatment. Now you have those that sit at the desk or stand in the hallway talking or on phones. Management, it starts with you. Stop miss treating the good ones and make sure the others are doing what they are supposed to do.
