We saw Angie Pate ,CRNP for left chronic ear infections and she did an amazing job listening to our concerns. She was very thorough during the exam and her staff was extremely nice.

After being with my doctor for several years, I was recommended to SSMC and saw Angie Pate CRNP. Her warm manner made me feel comfortable as she listened to my questions and concerns. I believe she did a thorough exam and I feel good about my decision to see her. Not only did I feel that she was friendly and helpful, the rest of the staff was as well. Highly recommend.
Southside Medical Clinic is very accommodating and convenient. I really like the whole experience. It is what I think a clinic should be and much more. Ivonne Joiner (NP) is fantastic! I have full confidence in her and that matters when you know you're getting the care that you deserve. The portal is a great communication tool as well as giving you a good snapshot of your health in one place!
I booked an appointment earlier this week online. I put detailed notes in the description box for the reason for my visit. I was called 10 minutes before my scheduled appointment time by their receptionist telling me that they couldn’t see me for the issues I had mentioned when I booked online. I went through an extensive screening with The Birmingham Psychiatry Group to get an adult ADHD diagnosis and was told to contact a primary care office to get set up with meds. That’s exactly what I did, only to be told 10 minutes before my appointment that they cannot prescribe controlled substances. To be clear, I’m not mad about them not being able to see me for my concerns, but rather them calling me 10 minutes before my scheduled appointment time to tell me so.
Dr Ayres is a great Dr. Kind, caring, listens, makes sure all bases are covered. Love him as my Dr.
