Outstanding attentiveness and service to patients and family members from all the staff involved. Our journey with SE Radiation Oncology began before we even became patients here. We had essentially received a diagnosis from other doctors to just "give in and die". In our search for doctors away from the big city hospitals where most SE residents are medivaced; we came across this treatment center in Juneau. In a desperate bid for finding another option other than Anchorage or Seattle; we filled out the "contact us". At first we thought it would be just another place that doesn't or isn't able to respond. Dr. Huang responded before the end of that day. Though we were far away at that time he listened to all the reports we had from the other doctors and assured us that a combined chemo and radiation treatment was still a viable option. Dr. Huang maintained weekly contact with us as we finished up surgery and surgical recovery in Anchorage. Upon arriving back in SE AK, he patiently continued to encourage us not to delay treatment but rather get to Juneau as quickly as possible and begin the multi week regiment. We were also advised that SE Radiation Oncology had a non-profit foundation that could provide housing at a shared residence in the valley. That was also another reason to be comforted in traveling and staying in Juneau. The attention, care and planning through the entire 7-8 week process was not just professional; it was also kind and we were not passed through like at many other industrialized medical practices. One can tell that all the staff cared to be in the medical field they had all chosen. They were not only our care team but became our caring friends. Thank you all.

My experience with the SROC was excellent. The staff were genuinely kind and a bright spot in my day! Dr. Huang explained the processes I went through with clarity and empathy. We are fortunate to have a radiation/oncology service here at home.
