I am writing this review on behalf of the Sopris Therapy Services equine-assisted therapy program in Carbondale. Having grown up in the Roaring Fork Valley and having a lifelong passion for horses and riding, I love the Sopris Therapy Services program! I have Cerebral Palsy (CP) and riding horses helped me in more ways than one. Sopris Therapy gave me the knowledge and expertise that helped to mold me into the rider I am today and I cannot thank them enough for all they did for me. I had the opportunity to ride with Sopris Therapy for many years and I would highly recommend them to people with special needs who are interesting in riding. The instructors are very knowledgeable and safety of horse and rider are taken into consideration at all times. The staff is also very willing to assist clients in any way they can. While I was riding with Sopris Therapy, I had to opportunity to compete in riding competitions around the state of Colorado, including at Colorado Special Olympics and the Front Range Challenge Horse Show. Sopris Therapy Services is a wonderful program and it is not something to pass up! --- ROCHELLE B.
