Clean facility, caring and knowledgeable nurses and staff. Doctors very involved with care. Best staff ever.

Somerset is an excellent choice to have your loved one taken care of. Their staff genuinely cares for their patients. They have had many successful recoveries, particularly during the pandemic. They kept strict policies in place during the pandemic to protect their patients, and continue to do so during these changing times. The facility is very clean. Staff are friendly and attentive. There is great communication amongst all levels of staff and care.

Great facility! Almost feels like summer camp in a good way. Staff is very attentive and my father is being well cared for. There is such a personal approach. I never get the feeling that my dad is just "one of the patients". Everyone knows him by name and greets me by name when I come to visit. When I put in requests someone follows up with me and lets me know what is going on. Lisa Abbott is my case manager and she is awesome! I can reach out to her anytime and she is prompt to reply. She overseas everything to do with my dad. She checks in on him and I feel safe when I am not there knowing that she has everything under control. I can tell my experience and understanding is important to her. Farah Layno is in the financial liaison and she is so personable and pleasant. I can tell she is there to help me and make me feel comfortable. Jan Carlo and Cherry Belmonte are two of my dads nurses and they are always "all over it". My father has been at Somerset for over 110 days now and he is kept very clean and they get him up and out of bed all of the time. This is a hard thing to go through having a loved one live in a rehab facility and from the experience I have so far this is the only place where I feel he is being cared for at a very high level.

My mom has been on a ventilator for some time now and spent a good month in the hospital. The hospital was pressuring my family to find a nursing facility for my mother to recover. I spoke with Cristina from somerset who runs the marketing department. She was more than helpful and went the extra mile to help my family understand the process. My mother was there for about two months and now home fully recovered. I am grateful for all the staff at Somerset and Rehab. Also, this was one of the only subacute facilities I toured that smelled amazing and is super clean.

Somerset is the only sub-Acute in San Diego that I would consider for a loved one. Cristina is amazing and truly cares about the patients she brings in. She brought in my family member and kept me updated throughout his whole stay on his progress. Most sales people bring them in and you never hear from them again. She truly is the heart behind somerset. That you Cristina.

My son was sent there and within 24 hrs I had to call 911 and have him sent back to Scripps! The staff there are very unprofessional, cold hearted didn't have any compassion for my son . My 3 hr visit with him I never met his nurse not once until medics arrived . The only person who was absolutely amazing was the woman on the phone case manager Christina.

Please do not bring your loved ones to this facility. My cousin was completely neglected. I am so disturbed with the horrible experience my family had to deal with here. The nurses involved should not only be held accountable, they should be ashamed of themselves. They are there to care for their patients, to help them in a time of need, to make them feel comfortable & they did none of this! Instead, they left my family with yet another nightmare they had to face during an already traumatic event that led up to my cousin needing their assistance. In which he never received!
