SOMA Physical and Occupational Therapy

I cannot recommend this physical therapy clinic enough. My mom has been going here for both of her knee replacements, and from the moment we walked in the team has been nothing short of amazing. Everyone, from the front desk to the therapists, is so kind, welcoming, and genuinely caring. They take the time to listen to her concerns, explain each things thoroughly, and adjust her treatment plan as needed to ensure she’s progressing at the right pace. The therapists are highly skilled and knowledgeable, and their expertise has made such a difference in my mom’s recovery. Not only is her mobility improving, but she feels supported and encouraged every step of the way. The environment is always positive, and the staff creates a comfortable, safe space where she feels confident in her progress. I truly appreciate the personalized care and attention to detail they’ve provided. It’s clear that they are invested in her recovery, and it shows in the results. If you’re looking for a physical therapy clinic where you’ll receive top-notch care in a friendly and supportive atmosphere, this is definitely the place to go!

SOMA Physical and Occupational Therapy in Astoria is Amazing! I have been working with Costa, who has helped me regain motion to my shoulder after an injury. Costa is thorough, caring and explains everything regarding treatment in detail. As a result of his therapy, my doctor was impressed with my progress. He is also teaching an intern, Sierra who is also Amazing. Very caring and helpful also. They make a great team. Kudos to you both! Keep it up.

This review is long overdue, I can’t recommend SOMA Physical & Occupational Therapy enough! The office is very clean and well-maintained. After searching for a better treatment option post-op from a terrible triad surgery, I’m so glad I found them. The entire team Monina, George, Costa, Dominick, and Natan are amazing and truly dedicated to their patients! Costa is outstanding; his exceptional attention to his patients truly stands out. He quickly identified a serious issue with my shoulder that others overlooked, and thanks to his observation, I got the surgery I needed. I am so thankful for his care and professionalism! Highly recommend!

I had a frozen shoulder that was very painful and Costa helped healed it in a year. Costa is kind, professional, empathetic, and listens to all my concerns. After a fall, I returned to SOMA for Costa to help me with my wrists and he is doing an excellent job helping with my recovery. All the rest of the staff at SOMA are amazing. They have interns and students who are a great addition to the team and learning from the best therapists on how to treat patients! These young professionals take great care of us very mature people and our concerns.

There are not enough positive words in the dictionary to describe this clinic. Since Day 1, Monina was so helpful and was patient in answering all of my questions. She was so supportive and timely in emailing me paperwork and getting me started right away. Upon entering, even though I was very nervous as a first time OT patient, I felt a level of ease and comfort. I was immediately greeted with smiles and salutations. The open space of the clinic made it warm and inviting and I knew right away I was in the right space. The cleanliness and the care to sanitizing was really a comfort to me as well. The Starburst are really great too! Costa got to know me and my injury right away. He asked questions about my pain and what my goals were. He always checked in with how I was feeling and really took his time in making sure that not only I progressed in my therapy but also that I was comfortable. I look forward to therapy to not only get better, but to learn too. Costa explained hand anatomy to me in a way that helped me understand exactly what was wrong to me. When I first started, I had a brace that big, bulky and really annoying. After working on my injury, Costa made me a custom splint that was easy to work with and made me feel so much better! Sierra was a joy to see every time I had therapy. She was so kind with a constant smile. We have inside jokes and laughs but also learned from each other at the same time. I really look forward to seeing them every therapy session and I always can’t wait to go back, even though the goal is to leave! I cannot thank SOMA enough for all of their support and encouragement from the beginning of my occupational therapy until the near end. This clinic is truly a hidden gem and I am so happy to have discovered it! Not that I would want to get hurt again but if so, SOMA would be the first place I go and I recommend SOMA to anyone who needs occupational or physical therapy!

I am so thankful for the Soma PT/OT team. I came in for Physical Therapy after experiencing knee pain from marathon training. George and Dominick first provided a running analysis during my initial evaluation and created a personalized treatment plan to target my goals. I was able to correct my running form to prevent future injuries and learn strengthening/stretching activities to enhance performance. Scheduling appointments was also very easy, where Monina made the process smooth!

I would recommend SOMA to anyone who is looking for a team of experts with an excellent bedside manner. The facility is clean, comfortable and suitable for anyone who wants a semi-private experience that allows you to have high touch approach while experiencing progress with fellow patients. Costa is always there to greet you with a smile as is every therapist and support member that I encountered. You will work hard and want to every step of the way, because the results speak for themselves. I am relocating to CA and if I ever needed PT in the future, I would consider coming back!

Been going to SOMA to treat an ankle / foot injury and it has been a great experience! George and Dominic are great and really go above and beyond to support your recovery. They even personalized my treatment plan with my marathon training in mind! Definitely recommend!
