I have to say this place really did change my life and wish I had learned about So Cal Empowered sooner! The team is amazing everyone is personable to every individual needs including the chef. I felt welcomed right away, Melanie was the best case manager for me. Melanie helped make sure I got acclimated and along well with my group members who have touched my heart in so many ways including setting me up with an after care plan once my 30 days were done, that I am still doing this day. I came to So Cal struggling with sever depression/Anxiety, and Postpartum. With in 30 days my postpartum had disappeared. I was able to re-set, re-ground myself and most of all left feeling understood, not depressed or crazy(as in the feeling of being misunderstood or lonely). The House team members (councilors) to name a few that I bonded with were Conner and Alex they helped by listening to me, giving great advice, and manage my anxiety when I felt like I couldn't talk to anyone. I am beyond thankful for the whole team, the house, the therapist, and doctor. If you by any means are struggling to remember/learn who you are or dealing with trauma So Cal will you help you get through it <3

SoCal Empowered is a life changing place! As someone who has struggled for a lifetime with mental health, this team of amazing people has helped me more than they know. The therapist and case manager made me feel heard and helped me through some pretty big life changes while I was there. The techs were always supportive and made sure we felt heard. I made friends while I was in treatment and have already reunited with one of them. As a result of SoCal Empowered, I feel ready to take on the next steps of my life. Thank you for everything :)
Can’t say enough good things about this organization. They really go the extra mile in every way. From the caring and supportive staff to the amazing food, it really felt like a community that is meant for healing. It wasn’t what I expected at all in every positive way possible. You guys do good work over there and I’ll remember you for the rest of my life. Thank you so much. Also they have a dog which is always a major plus ;)
SoCal Empowered changed my life. Trauma informed and always professional, the team is truly into the business of healing. ❤️🩹 I would recommend this for anyone that wants to improve their mind, body, and soul. Mental health truly matters, your future self will be eternally grateful. My love to my SoCal family and a 🐾 for Brooke 🐕🦺
If you are looking for a residential mental health facility to go to this is the place! I met some great individuals! 🫶🏼 I appreciate the support I was given at SoCal Empowered, I’ve seen an improvement in myself. I decided to go back to So Cal Empowered for a second time at the end of the year Nov 2023 - Dec 2023 and left feeling more stable than how I went in. I was at Costa Bella my first and second time (HIGHLY recommend that location). Thank you to everyone who was supportive to me in some way shape or form from staff members to peers. Chef was definitely one of my fav he cook great, is kind, & so stylish! A special shout out to Arleen, Daron, & Evan 🫶🏼 Arleen is one of the sweetest individuals I’ve ever met. She genuinely loves her job and it shows, she is always willing to help a client out. Also, has a great smile 😊 Daron is caring. I appreciate the kindness and patience. Also, the group he leads are great! Evan is fairly new, he has a calming presence and is very easy going. One thing he told me that stuck with me is the word “perception”.
Socal empowered is a life changing facility that I would give six stars to if I could. I've struggled with severe depression and suicidal ideation my whole life. My friends and family sent me here against my will after a failed attempt at taking my own life and I spent 5 weeks at their facility. The love and care I felt at Socal is something I will never forget and cherish for my entire life. You can tell it extends past a job for these people and helping others is truly something they care about. If i could name every worker there to express how incredible they were in their own way i would but I want to especially highlight Charlie and Connor who were extremely helpful in my recovery. The things I've accomplished and my new outlook on life since returning from here are truly incredible, and I owe it all to Socal Empowered. If you or a loved one is struggling, I highly suggest you look into sending them here. What a wonderful, wonderful place.
I would say I had a very good experience with socal empowered. I am in a better state mentally and I wouldn’t have done that without the support of the staff. The house is nice and cute, clean and there is also a pool. Loved the evening groups, sometimes we would drive to laguna and watch the sunset. Also another great thing about this place is that you are gonna be out of the house atleast once a day, which is different from other residentials where they just have you sit in the house all day and only go out once a week. It makes being at a residential a lot more bearable, and the weekend outings were always refreshing. I liked individual sessions with Gwen, but I wish that the groups with her wasn’t redundant material. However overall I found the groups helpful, especially Melina’s groups, she’s really great I love her. All the staff are really great, Kyle helped me through a lot of stuff, and Dan (or should I say Daniel) if you are reading this right now I know you don’t like to be compliment but I really appreciate you! and thank you for being there for me and listening to me when I was having a hard time. If I had to go back to residential this is the place I would go. There are a few things that I would change, maybe more groups because there was a lot of freetime, even if they aren’t therapy groups just something scheduled so Im not sitting with my thoughts, see the psychiatrist in person, and have it at a scheduled time, not just super random and out of the blue appointments, I also felt like the sessions were super rushed, and I didn’t like how even during some of the zoom calls he was at the beach or in the train, not very professional , and makes me worried that other people are listening into the conversation. I also loved that we went to the gym, but maybe if we went more often? And not in the middle of the day like in the morning after setting intentions I would have loved that, also a great way to start the day then going to the park after.
I highly recommend this place for anyone who is struggling. I came to this facility scared and not knowing who I was. Everyone made me feel extremely welcomed and I enjoyed all groups. The groups helped me become a better person and truly work through all the current issues I had ongoing. The staff all deeply cared for the clients and made sure they felt safe and welcomed. I have grown so much since this program and I owe it to this place.
