I have never seen a nursing home so horrible,, my mom was had knee surgery and had to go there for Rehabilitation when her insurance denied the appeal and it was time to be discharged they gave her till 11am took her wheel chair said it was the MET wheel chair. So I took her home and had no way to get her in the house.. they did not put the order in for her equipment until after 3pm ,after they got out of a meeting after we made it home,, just sitting in yard,My mom called several times to see and understand what's going on Camden medical supply said the had no oder from them at all..so silver oaks they sent the police to my hose and said she s suppose to in rehab... but the dis charge papers say different so police left,, so we had to call 911 so they could help her in the house and in the bed with a full leg cast on .. they sent my mom home without the equipment to help her and then called police... and silver oaks continue to hang up In her face

Horrible. Horrible. Horrible. Trying to figure out how to transfere my mother from here. The staff is next to nonexistent. My mother is in hospice care, and they never show up when her call button is pushed. Always late on her pain meds. Just changed hospice companies, so we’ll see if that makes any difference. If you have the capability to take your loved one somewhere else, DO IT. This place is not caring of the patients at all. Just horrible. Well here we are weeks later. We have spoken with Administrators and staff. They came to a resolution of coming in every two hours to check her diapers and gown. Well, I’ve been in this place since 8:45 am and it is now 2:05 pm and No One has come to check anything. She still has on the same gown from the evening before with vomit on it. It took me going to the front desk aka the entertainment for the staff station. To get them to come check her a what do you know, dirty diaper that she’s been in for god knows how long. Still just horrible. The left hand doesn’t know what the right hand is doing. She throws up when they giver her medication. It’s on file that they are supposed to give her anti nausea medication 30 minutes before giving pain meds. They can’t even get that right. Monday I will be calling the area agency of aging and whoever else may be able to do something about the lack of responsibility in this place.

I’ve worked here for three years and have gotten to meet some pretty amazing people workers and residents most who are like family. Mary Marks is one of the best wound care nurses around!! Our PRN nurses like Shelby Guidry, Haley Clark and Latina McHenry go above and beyond for the residents. Our therapy department headed up by Laura Forest is the best around town!! Our Dietary manager Cynthia Lewis always has some kind of tasty treats for the residents and staff!! Our new activity director Princess Rials is really doing a great job taking the residents out for fun activities to keep them feeling young.. The CNAs are great and we couldn’t run the building without them especially CNAs like Tammy W, Angelina, Monica, and Lashonda and so many more to many to name. And especially our newest ADON/ Nurse Practitioner Katie Dowell!! You should stop by and meet all the great department heads and staff!!

I love being able to take care of my residents here. The rehab is great and I really enjoy working with the residents while they do their therapy and get well.

I was in Silver Oaks Rehab for two weeks in March 2023 after knee replacement surgery. The caring employees at this facility offered me excellent physical therapy, unsurpassed emotional encouragement and outstanding personal care that cannot be surpassed. When I left after two weeks it felt like I was leaving family. My physician was surprised and very pleased with the progress I had made. I highly recommend Ouachita Nursing and Rehab as the best in our area.

I received really good care during the 2-1/2 weeks of my stay. They have a well-trained staff who are able to transport you to doctor visits and provide medical assistance and answer questions. They have a caring physical therapy group to access your needs and provide therapy. Good food and clean facility.

Silver Oaks is a true home for the residents entrusted to its care. The residents are always smiling. The staff is happy. They greet visitors with a smile, and the love they feel for their residents is evident when you witness their interactions. I have several loved ones who have been there for rehab and to live. They are always clean, happy, and healthy. It means so much to know that people with heart are caring for the ones you can no longer manage at home safely.
