Silver Heights Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation

For the most part I love the staff and the care my mom receives here. She is very hard to care for , believe me, I understand. So I try not to make a big deal about the the lost clothing, lack of occupational therapy, like brushing her teeth every day, and disarray of her room but every time I am there, when they get her back in bed, I find her oxygen tank canula on the floor! I'm sure they pick them up right off the floor and put them right in her nose! Ive actually seen this happen. Since my mom has no capacity to make self care decisions she can't fend for herself in these sitiations. Now they are making everyone wear masks because of a covid out break but nothing is mentioned about the canulas on the floor and nurses and CNA 's walking in and out with major toxins on their shoes right where her O2 canulas land! In fact the complaint was received with a very nonchalant attitude when we mentioned this. It's not like they mop the floors every day either. It's simply negligent. Oh, and I do have pictures to prove it , atleast of the last time I was there. I will continue to take them as I see fit.

It is great to be apart of the change going on here. The new administrative staff are doing amazing things here and the environment and cultural has drastically improved in just months. The nursing staff really care about the residents and it feels like home.

I am a resident of Silver Heights and in the short time I've been here, I have experienced a side of nursing home that pleasantly surprised me!!!! Up beat staff and absolutely catering to everyone I walk around, and everyone is always smiling staff and resident the same!!! I feel such true compassion from the staff that I do matter every minute of the day and to see how they are with all the other residents, again true and genuine integrity for the people they care for!!!! I Recommend this home for anyone in need of caregivers!!! I would feel great about referring anyone, family or friend, confident they would get the same experience I have enjoyed here!!! I am so happy to write this review. My step-father was admitted here after a month's stay in the hospital. He is a disabled veteran who was recovering from a number of issues including a series blood infection. Prior to the going to the hospital he only walked sparingly, if at all, being wheelchair bound most of the time. My step-father is also a stubborn and entitled man at times, which is exacerbated when he is not feeling well. From the start the staff at Silver Heights was kind and professional beyond my best expectations. They cared for my step-father with detail and compassion and the results were incredible. Not only did he make a full recovery, but he is walking up to 100 yards without a break, something he hasn't done in the two years prior. His spirits have never been better and I am in complete gratitude that places like this still exist.

Jennifer Lee is the new director at Silver Height and she’s amazing! I had a big issue trying to get times set up to see my mom. The appointments would get lost or no one knew what was going on. I was connected to Jennifer by one of the staff and she resolved everything! I have been able to see my mom without any problems! Thanks so much Jennifer you’re a super sweet lady!!

The staff at Silver Heights are phenomenal! Not only did they get me walking again but they fixed so much more! Thank you for everything, everyone went above and beyond what was required and it is greatly appreciated!!!! I hope the best for each and everyone of you!

Everybody complains of not being paid attention to....take it up with the state, there is no patient to nurse ratio so the companies make mooooney. EVERYWHERE is the same problem

I've been to a lot of nursing homes over the years to visit family this is by far the worst I have ever seen very dirty floor strong urine smells in the halls and obvious that the residents aren't happy if you're considering this place for a loved one you should keep looking
