I am a 67 year old male that has battled my scoliosis for 50 years by core work and exercise. 15 months ago my scoliosis had progressed to 60 degrees and the pain was intense. I tried conventional PT, no help. Saw a Orthopedic Surgeon specializing in scoliosis. Curvature too severe to do surgery. Pain specialist said ablation could accelerate the spinal collapse. I was losing hope. Then my life changed. My daughter had heard of the Schroth technique. Sheila Connor is a physical therapist specializing in the Schroth technique. It uses breathing and muscle activation to help de-rotate and stabilize your spine. In 2 weeks my level 10 pain was down to a level 2. Sheila will study your X-rays, watch how you walk, stand, and palpate your spine. She is extremely knowledgeable and professional and has designed a personal therapy program for my in person visits and my home exercise regime. There is still more work that needs to be done, but now I have hope that I will be able to manage any pain even if we are unable to eliminate it completely. Sheila has given me something that any person in chronic pain needs, hope. Thanks Sheila your the best. Roy J Vegter DDS

My daughter had received a diagnosis of Idiopathic Scoliosis. She received her brace and Schroth physical therapy was recommended. Sheila was incredible from the beginning. Knowing I was a nervous mom and concerned about the diagnosis, Sheila welcomed us with a positive and encouraging attitude. She spent several months teaching my daughter the building blocks to the Schroth method, and fine-tuning her exercises at every appointment. We were pleased to receive excellent results at all of my daughter's spinal x-ray appointments. My daughter is now quite proficient in the Schroth method and I'm grateful for the lasting impact that Sheila has had on her, not to mention a spine that is stabilized! Thank you Sheila!

If you’re looking for a PT that will empower you to be in control of your body, Sheila is the one. I found Sheila when I was in a lot of pain and not finding relief from other treatments. She is extremely intelligent, intuitive, attentive, and her passion for her work shows through in the care she has for her patients. Sheila helped me get back to work, active, and driving without pain again. She took the time to go through 12 years of medical records and analyze any root causes of misalignment. The exercises and manual therapy she gave me were exceptional and more effective than any other PT I’ve received. Over one year later, I still use those exercises and follow her suggestions as preventative care for keeping my body aligned and healthy. Her treatment is very hands-on and informative. The quality of my life is so much better after working with Sheila. Truly grateful for her work and compassion.

If you're an active 62-year-old like me, you don't want to be "on the bench" any longer than is absolutely necessary. Sheila has been my physical therapist for about 20 years. She's helped me through multiple injuries and issues including shoulder impingement, knee problems and low back pain. I don't know what I would do without her. Sheila is a smart and gifted therapist who doesn't waste any time - hers or mine - resolving whatever happens to be my "issue du jour," often in a single session and that makes her services worth every penny.

I have needed physical therapy many times in my life and I can say without reservation that Sheila is the best physical therapist I have ever worked with. I came to her about my scoliosis and pain going down my leg. I am an avid backpacker and hiker and at the time had so much pain I could barely walk. I was so discouraged but she gave me hope and has been incredibly supportive. She listens carefully and thoughtfully to everything I say. She has taught me how to walk properly, (I’m 65 years old!) how to straighten my spine and posture, and strengthen my body strategically. I have been on two backpacking trips in the past two months and am so grateful she didn’t give up on me when I wanted to give up on myself! I am so grateful that she has given me my life back that I was afraid I had lost forever!

We had reached out to her for help with my son. I was given her name from a work colleague. Communication was very awkward and difficult, she would not even share basic recommendations for who I should talk to about getting a brace - even though she presents herself as an expert. I found her to be very unhelpful. I know she was busy and said she placed my son on her waitlist, but I have never heard back from her. In the meantime, I think this was for the best as I have heard from a few families that they have not had the best interactions with her, and their children were not at ease with her as a therapist..
