Amy is a wise teacher and magician. I initially sought her out a couple of years ago when I experienced surprising pain following a massage and wanted help understanding the source and yoga-like exercises suited to healing. She has decades of experience studying and teaching about how bodies move, and I’m grateful I came to the right place. My husband and I had been used to taking intense vinyasa and hatha yoga classes before we moved to Mt Shasta, but once we started to take her iyengar-inspired classes a new universe of exploration and connection between body and breath and mind began revealing itself. Through her fresh and thoughtful approach to teaching, I started discovering how parts of my body connect and feel that I hadn’t even been aware of. What a gift!

I had a massage today by Aiyisha. Best massage I have ever had. She listens to the body to see what you need. Amazing experience and an amazing massage therapist/energy worker. My body feels so good!♥️ Thank you for your gifts.

Amy’s classes are life changing. If you love practicing yoga, you will love her classes. There are so many “yoga” options these days and “Yoga” teachers and it’s hard to know which are real. Amy is real. Her integrity in teaching far surpasses most other classes I’ve taken. Her Teacher training is unlike ALL others. You will be glad you did it- on so many levels- for so many reasons!

I've been a student of Amy Cooper's for years. I try not to miss one of her workshops and am a regular every week in her class. Her knowledge of anatomy and yoga surpasses most instructors. I've confronted my fears and conquered arm balance! Thank you, Amy, namaste.

The Shasta Yoga Institute warmly welcomes visitors and locals alike. It is my "go to" place for safe, supportive yoga, plus nourishing meditation, occasional retreats, special events, and music. I feel so privileged that our little town has Amy Cooper for world-class yoga classes and certification programs. I also have enjoyed classes with Jade Webb, Courtney Chase, Mette Kolding, Liv, and Jennifer Arneson.

Dance As A Spiritual Practice -- Willow was the DJ, and I loved it! We all danced around the room. Would definitely return! Only $7. Former home of The Flying Lotus.
