I cannot express the amount of gratitude I have for every single individual working at ShaMynds Healing Center. My personal experience trying to find a way to navigate all the tribulations I have experienced in life have been difficult. It is thanks to Dr. Ahmad, therapists, nurses, front desk, and everyone involved, are a great supporting team. I, without hesitation, recommend ShaMynds Healing Center treatments to anyone and try K.A.P at least once in their lives! It is a game changer! Having a great support group to help a person to process certain things is key towards healing and understanding of one’s self. I invite anyone, struggling w/ anything, mentally, physically and spiritually, to come in w/ an open heart and find a treatment best suited for their specific need! Thank you, Dr. Ahmad and everyone at ShaMynds healing Center. Best wishes, P.M

If you are considering KAT or other wellness modalities as part of your mental health practice, I highly recommend working with the team at ShaMynds. I was fortunate enough to participate in a 6-week KAT program in 2024 and was humbled by the warmth, safety, and guidance I experienced throughout the process. Dr. Ahmad, Jessica, Akia, Lauren, Cindee, Alyssa - and everyone else I've encountered at ShaMynds are not just impeccable professionals, it's clear they truly care about the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of their clients.

I have had a very positive experience with Ketamine therapy at ShaMynds. Dr. Ahmad has been very thorough in making sure that both my mental and physical health are being treated effectively. The staff are very friendly and have been extremely responsive to any requests I've had. Lauren is a top notch professional and excellent nurse. Kirsten Boyd is the best therapist I've ever encountered. She has provided the insight and safety necessary for the Ketamine therapy to be a success. Kirsten has a real gift for the work. My time at ShaMynds has been life-changing and I highly recommend them.

Discovering ShaMynds Healing Center has been an incredible gift. From the very beginning it has proved to be a place of healing and hope. The staff genuinely cares about their clients emotional and physical health. The atmosphere is serene and inviting. The infusions are given with a professional therapist or Dr Ahmad herself, monitoring for safety and therapeutic input. Nourishment of dates, nuts and fruit is provided after the infusions to help reset your body’s homeostasis.

Shamynds' Narrative Medicine workshops are groundbreaking healing experiences, using the power of story to heal and integrate life's biggest challenges. The facilitators create a safe and open environment of non-judgment, curiosity and compassion, allowing creativity and connection to flourish. In this space, participants can process their unconscious through creative exercises, inspiring deeply meaningful reflections upon their healing journeys and forming resonances with one another through courageous sharing. I cannot recommend these workshops enough for anyone who is willing to go a further step in moving towards wholeness. I attended these initially as a researcher but soon became a participant and was moved by each and every session I experienced. Special stuff!

This was life-changing. It is an experience I will carry with me for the rest of my life. The CPTSD and the major event that I visited ShaMynds to address was traumatic on a level most people don't experience. I was absolutely terrified to try this approach. Cindee (who is wonderful!) told me "we are where people go when nothing else has worked." That was true for me. I have tried countless things that helped temporarily, but nothing that fundamentally transformed the way I perceive myself and the world. So I pushed through the fear and tried it. I do feel it is very important to have an established, trusted therapist that you can talk to before and after treatments to make the most of them. I have never once received the impression that Dr. Ahmad is "in it for the money" as has been suggested, and was shocked to see that review. She was kind, compassionate, and validating. She took her time with me and every single person in the room equally. Nobody was treated with inequity as far as I observed. Rather, it felt like a warm and caring community. When I needed my hand held through the more difficult moments in the treatment, they were right there, and stayed there until I gave them the "I'm ok" hand squeeze. Dr. Ahmad knew that I had worked through quite a bit in my session, and made a point to come and talk to me afterwards to offer support. This treatment has unlocked my ability to see myself in a new way, to rewire my most traumatic experiences, and leave feeling empowered instead of defeated. I am still in awe that it was even possible. And that the results are still with me. I will never see myself the same way again, and I have Dr. Ahmad and her wonderful team to thank for that.

This review was long overdue. I will start by saying that the nurses were great and the therapist I had was very compassionate. However, Dr. Ahmad was awful and only in this to make money. The first infusion I had she refused to tell me my dosage of the ketamine due to some weird “spiritual” reason she proposed. Which doesn’t make sense to me, because I also know what dose of Tylenol I take when I’m home, but okay. I had requested to have lozenges between appointments, which were prescribed to me. However, she wanted to charge me for the appointment to discuss the lozenges in addition to the appointment I was paying a lot of money for when going back for my booster infusion. When I cancelled my lozenge appointment and thought we could discuss everything during my infusion appointment, she was dismissive and made a point to avoid me. That day I had a very difficult infusion and would have appreciated her support, but she ignored me as I left the clinic. I also had nausea from my infusion, but the nurse told me they only had 1 mg IV Zofran left and didn’t have any other IV nausea medications left in the office. So, why am I paying so much for infusions then? I don’t understand why it’s so difficult to find a kind, compassionate ketamine provider. If you have better luck than I did, please avoid this place. Listen to the last review a patient left where they felt neglected by Dr. Ahmad after they went to the VA for their ketamine treatments. This is very much the case unfortunately. She is only in this for the money, not for patient care.

Dr Ahmad and the outstanding staff and services at the healing center have had a profound effect on my mental and physical health and well being. After decades of suffering debilitating cptsd and being a trauma survivor I was despondent and open to trying alternative therapies. I honestly felt hopeless at times and the therapy offered through ShaMynds had a profound effect on my mental, spiritual and physical health and well being. Dr Ahmad was present and actively engaged with my care answering all questions with genuine kindness and authenticity. I was at ease knowing she and her staff were aware of my history of hypertension as I was monitored closely. In a world where it is easy to be despondent and lose hope, the treatment at the clinic has been life changing. The anxiety I suffered has diminished signicantly and I am learning to trust again, to believe. In addition, the clinic offers a holistic approach incorporating therapy, yoga, and group support sessions with a strong emphasis on one’s spiritual well being. I highly recommend ShaMynds healing center as the results speak for themselves.
