Hands down the best swim program VMRC offers. I have two kiddos on the autism spectrum attending the aquatics center under the supervision of Flora. I’ve had one of my children in the other swim program VMRC offers and this program is far better. The staff are professional, kind, and considerate. They definitely are experienced in working with children on the autism spectrum. The only down side is that we live out of town and it takes us 30 minutes to get there and then another 30 minutes to get back home. However, it is just a testament to how amazing the program and staff are, they are totally worth the commute. Thank you to Flora, Irene, Fantasia, Julissa and the rest of the team. We love you and appreciate your hard work.

I have 2 children on the spectrum one non verbal and one who is verbal. My son who is verbal went through the whole program and absolutely loved it. He was even sad when he graduated even though it meant he knew how to swim. My daughter is still a student there and the staff is incredibly patient and accommodating to her. Teaching special needs children to swim takes a special individual. The staff there have so much patience not even just with the kids but also with the parents. Some parents there have made things so much more difficult and or impossible. I applaud the staff there and am so thankful for this program. Because the only other program I found cost over $300 and you don't even get as many sessions. So I recommend this program and all the people there.

The review is for Aquatic therapy department. My son who is 5 years and autistic is very polite, kind, follows instructions and is verbal. His instructor julissa along with other black instructor kicked him out of the pool for spitting out water from his mouth when I took matters to flora, she was extremely rude and don’t know how to handle a situation professionally instead she said we are terminating the services for you son, thank you my son deserves better and will be taking him to a place where we don’t feel unwelcome.

The people here at this establishment claim to work with special needs children. However it seems like most of the instructors here have 0 patience for said children. As a parent of a child with autism I am WARNING you to STAY away!

Their stuff is amazing, my children love to come because they are kind and compassionate with all children. This is a good place for all children to learn.

this review is for the aquatics department. staff is very friendly, and so helpful. I like that Irene calls the day before to remind me of my appointments, and my daughters swim lessons. flora is very professional and helpful. the swim instructors Fantasia and Esperanza go above and beyond in my daughters swim lessons. over all great experience!!!

Several phone messages, to Irene, who schedules appointments, were not returned to either me or my adjuster. Thought it wss a good idea to speak to her boss. I was wrong. Flora, the manager was very rude, it was crazy and made no sense. I only wanted an appointment. She was so rude, I had to hang up, and now don't have an appointment. I will be speaking with corporate.

Didn't know service first was hiring until I seen the hiring sign in front of the building. Great Marketing and Advertising
