SERC Physical Therapy

I had a pleasant experience here at SERC. It was me and my husband first time getting therapy due to a car accident. We really enjoyed all the great therapist that assisted us on our road to recovery. Gabriella, Kelsey, Laura, and others were so passionate and caring. Marlo was also a wonderful help to us and answered any questions that we had upon checking in and was very flexible when it came to our schedule. She made sure we didn’t miss too many days lol. We are very grateful for the SERC family and got our confidence back that we had before our accident! Thank you guys so much and you are all appreciated.

My Therapist Laura is great. Professional,make sure I understand routine. Pleasant to speak with. Always concerned of my progress and abilities to transcend back to normal lifestyle. Everyone employee there is polite. Great attitudes.

This is my second experience with therapy at SERC in Shawnee. The therapist I work with Lori is really good. She explains why I'm doing my therapy, is very knowledgeable, gentle yet firm in her ministrations and provides me with extra therapy steps I can do at home whenever I request it. Overall the staff and location is very accessible, helpful and friendly. Great place for therapy!

The turnover here is incredible. I wish some would stay longer. I also wish the therapists would check in with their patients or have a direct line to text or call them for questions or concerns. My insurance does not cover PT and I tried to convey this to Marlo the receptionist. I don’t have a copay for PT. Last I knew, I pay Serc’s price for a visit and it goes toward my very high deductible. I have never met my deductible so I need a plan of PT exercises at home that doesn’t require me to come weekly or even bi-weekly, but rather once a month. I don’t think this current group understood this like the last group did. The receptionist called and told me my insurance authorized 10 visits at $40 copay. I didn’t think that sounded right so I called my insurance company and was told no this is not true. As I figured I will now owe more money for my first couple visits. Lack of communication is disappointing.

I really didn't know what to expect when I went in for my first appointment but I started to realize I was in the right place. Kelsey was my physical therapist... Over about 8 sessions Kelsey taught me about 10 different exercises to strengthen my lower back muscles and I'm doing the work at home now... I thought that going to the gym was all I need to do but I needed to know the correct exercises to do to strengthen my lower back. Kelsey did that and now I can continue with those exercises at home...

This is a very caring clinic and I was challenged, and my healing was excellent post surgery. It took a while longer than I thought, but that all paid off and I am pain free and back to normal activities! I highly recommend Kelsey as she was always trying new things. Gabriella also stepped in when I needed additional assistance, both excellent, caring therapists.

I had such a wonderful experience at SERC with Gabriella Werth. With her help, I now have great range of motion in my shoulder and no more pain! Thank you for your professionalism, knowledge, and caring approach. If you need physical therapy, SERC of Shawnee is the place to go.

SERC therapy has worked wonders on my arm (radial tunnel and cubital tunnel). Lori is a miracle worker! I am still going through OT, but I have already recovered full use of my arm and a significant decrease in pain.
