This facility needs to be shut down immediately. This place has the patients digressing. There is no consistency with the patient’s care team so there’s a new nurse daily who knows absolutely nothing about the patient. Which means that every day is square one. No one reads the patient charts to know any information about the patient, they just come in and get to Vitals. How can a patient get better without consistent care? My father has been strapped to his bed since arriving at this facility on May 28, 2024. He was progressing while at Grady, but is now digressing due to the lack of care. His estranged wife whom is a RN and his abuser has also played a role in his neglect here as the nursing staff and the social worker Marquise does whatever she says and she’s not an employee here. My father has blisters on his arms from the restraints that have not been addressed. It takes up to an hour for anyone to provide him with water when requested. We visit and stayed for hours and his bed has been soiled and no one comes to change the bedding or rotate him. There is water damage and mold. How can anyone get better under these conditions? I have contacted the compliance officer and have spoken to the COO and there has been no resolve . Please keep your loved ones away from this place because they will not treat them with love and care.

I would like to say that Valerie Sims is a great employee that you have on your team. She’s very helpful, and was very pleasant and respectful and supportive every time I saw her. Not to mention she always has a smile on her face. I really wish there were more people like her. So I would I like to say to management that you guys have a outstanding and exceptional employee. So please show her she’s appreciated!
Life Brown
My husband (Life Brown) had stayed here at this facility, and the care he received was very good. The care team consist of many areas. Everyone is knowledgeable on their field. What made the stay a good experience? The staff perform their work/job, not because they need to do their job, its because they "like" to do their job. Staff always check their patient, making sure that they are cared for. They also ask and check if their team needs help in giving care to a patient. The facility is clean. You don't smell pee or poop on the hallway. They have friendly security guards on duty, 24/7. We had visited many facilities for the past 8 years. My husband had an accident resulting to a traumatic brain injury. By par, this is the best facility we had visited. I will give it a 9 out 10 rating.

I would avoid sending my loved one here. I worked here as an agency RN and although I worked hard to ensure my patients were well cared for, this place is all about numbers and reviews. They are low on staff because anyone with education and common sense wouldn’t work here. Unfortunately, I thought I could bring some good change to this place. Care is delayed in so many ways. They try to make nurses take 6 critically ill patients. I mean patients on vents, restraints, high risk dislodgment, etc. These patients need attention and support. Not just a nurse assigned to them so they can increase their census and look good. If you are an agency nurse going to help this place out, I’d stay away. The COO, Kim tried to get me to take an admission when I had 5 patients and was at an acuity of 127. The highest they are allowed to go is 135. The admission was coming in on vent, quadriplegic, and has Down syndrome. They don’t have enough CNAs to help you care for these patients, so you’re the nurse and the tech. I had 6 patients once and out of those 6, 2 were total care. You will be spread thin as a worker here. They terminate good workers if you don’t do what they say. Stephania, one of the house supervisors is lazy and gets everyone fired to make herself look good. I’ve seen her do it numerous times. The new CNO, Janice is a joke! She’s a tyrant and condescending. I did enjoy trying to help these patients but I won’t lose my integrity as a nurse working for this place. I was terminated and it was actually a blessing in disguise. Stay away from this place!

I would like to share that I have a family member currently in this hospital. I hate the 8pm end of visiting hours, but I know for sure when the night shift tech (Shannon Anderson)comes along my nephew is in great hands. He talks very highly of her and appreciates when she just comes by talk to him. She is very wise, kind and I’m thrilled she’s there to look after my loved one.

Select Specialty is a true hidden treasure! My first impression when I brought my son here was... OMG! They need to upgrade and remodel this location. BUT looks can truly be deceiving! Don't let the building fool you! The people taking care of your love ones are AMAZING! They are polite professional and they have the skills that made me finally feel comfortable enought to go home and sleep in my own bed after being at an area hospital for over 2 months where I stayed every night. The first person that I met when we arrived was Vanessa O'Kelly she made me feel like my son was being taken care of by family members. She actually made me laugh really hard for the first time since my son's accident. Thank You Vanessa for being you! I would like to thank the entire staff for making us feel welcome and that we are in the place that God wants us to be where they do the natural and he does the SUPERNATURAL! Thank you Jesus for this home away from home🏡.
