Select Physical Therapy - North Lakewood West

This IS an amazing place to come & heal. If that matters to you, you'll want to read this to the end to learn what you're getting! The environment is warm, welcoming & modern with a lot of open space & new equipment to asaist you. As my PT for pelvic floor PT, Dr Stephanie (Steph) was brilliant, energetic & patient. Yet extremely understanding, calming & accommodating of the panic attacks & other PTSD symptoms I was experiencing as a veteran that were further escalated by being stalked nearly 3 years at the time. So you don't have to slap on a happy face or "perfect" facade concerning your mental & physical health to show up & get the help you need to recover. (More raves about Dr. Steph at the end below.) We all know the doctors can be amazing, but it's the front office staff that greets, cares for & follows up with the paperwork & medical insurance that keeps you happy or leaves you dreading your appointment so you may hop to another provider. Janice, the office manager, is quite the professional & runs a tight organization. She stayed on top of the VA, all of its quirks & unreasonable delays to ensure my orders for PT were properly monitored & submitted MONTHS in advance of the teensy 3 mo time limit for treatment to ensure my PT continued uninterrupted. Janice was also curteous & professional enough to ensure Selina, a very sweet & competent spirit, called me with updates if she wasn't personally available to keep me informed & ease all concerns. Sarah was the front desk person who is also a focused student yet kind & attentive. We counted on her assistance as Stephanie's & my observer for every pelvic floor exam, re-evaluation & testing appointment, so each proceeded in comfort & safety for us all. As the newest member, I absolutely know Cecilia is getting top training in the best environment to carry on this level of service & expertise into her personal & professional lives. Meredith, the Center Office Manager of this and the sister Select Physical Therapy (aka Theraphysics Partners of Color located at 274 Union Blvd, ste 100, Lakewood co 80228), is a sensitively responsive angel! As a practicing Doctor of Physical Therapy herself, she perfectly bridges the medical & adminstrative professions in one truly phenomenal woman! IF you have ANY issue the staff cannot resolve, she is your ingenius go to fully prepared to hear you out and generate individually tailored solutions to keep your health, healing & administrative interactions moving along smoothly. There is simply no way to say enough good things about her! A word about Dr Steph's heart, devotion & determination to stand for your healing. When her employer transferred her across the street to the sister organization in spring 2024, my VA medical orders took almost 3 months to get transferred with her. During the 1 1/2 mo lag time (residual because staff got on the paperwork 1 1/2 mo earlier when she was notified), she walked back & forth JUST TO SEE ME at our regularly scheduled date & time with a huge smile. She gladly & uncomplainingly treated me each week until my medical orders were properly updated & transferred. That meant her new office was vacant while she trotted over here to occupy their one & only private room for our sessions. She is the only PT I received therapy from here, so I can't comment on the other PTs from personal experience, and now Dr Steph only works at the sister office. But I can tell you with Meredith & the other staff members here, you are sure to get someone wonderful!

I am very impressed with Select Physical Therapy as they immediately considered my pain in choosing exercises I should do. They are very personable and understanding. I was worried about that and didn't want to go, but was pleasantly surprised by their knowledge and expertise with understanding of my pain.

Carissa was amazing! I’ve been starting PT for migraines, and she listened to what my needs were. Her hands were magic! She provided such kind care and I really felt taken care of. I left feeling so much relief in my areas of pain. I’ll be back to see her!

The team and staff at Select Physical Therapy in North Lakewood are amazing. These folks are all upbeat, friendly and such an asset to our community. Anyone ever needing physical therapy should see these folks. Parker and the other gals who work beside her are so attentive and kind. I love going to see them and I will use the exercises they show me for the rest of my life. These gals really know the business. Very smart. Glad I made the choice to come here for rehab after foot surgery. I feel like I've made a lot of progress thanks to the endless variety of balancing exercises, and encouragement, I get from the physical therapists. No boredom and lots more strength!

Meredith is confident, accurate, knowledgeable and has helped my back to begin healing, relieving the pain and given me exercises that also have helped with the healing that I can do at home.

Everyone there is amazing especially Carissa Athans such caring and understanding and they don't put you in situations that are uncomfortable for your body love this place

I saw Dr.Steph for Pelvic Floor work and give 5 stars for professionalism, kindness, giving lots of time for me to understand what’s happening, giving productive exercises, answering all my questions and I especially appreciate that all the people there are trauma informed making the entire experience feel normal, easy, and helping break stereotypes that make it difficult for women to seek help. If I could see Dr.Steph for all my clinical needs I’d gladly choose her, because her bedside manner is that good!
