I just have to respond to Heather Kallan’s negative review. First, I know a bit about the folks at SCHC. To accuse these doctors and nurses of chasing the money is laughable. These doctors are not in a big city where they get paid the most. They are in a rural area because they actually care and believe in giving the best care they can to country folk. Sure, they might go over on time, but that’s because they are providing quality, personal care to people like you. They don’t “pack their schedule to try and make more money” (they don’t schedule anyone themselves) they are trying to help as many people as possible, because patients like you want to be seen asap. The irony of it is you would be the first person to complain the doctor didn’t spend enough time with you or wasn’t thorough. Lastly, we don’t know what was on their schedule for that day, maybe it was a patient with terminal cancer who needed an extra 5 mins with the doctor, or maybe it was someone who lives alone and is in the last stage of kidney disease and needed an extra 5 minutes so the doctor could explain how dialysis works. I could go on, but the point is there are some great doctors and nurses there who are doing their best to make everyone happy and keep them healthy and well. To say they are chasing money is such a huge insult if you knew these men and women personally. If you did you’d find they are quite the opposite; they are trying to make a difference NOT get rich. I hope you’ve had time to cool off and realize how lucky we are to have this hospital and all the empathetic, and caring medical professionals there. Best wishes.

I have been a patient at the SCHC for nearly 15 years. I feel extremely blessed to have had the care of Drs. Don and Lisa Regier. They are compassionate, experienced and very knowledgeable. There are not many doctors of their high caliber left. They are the best of the best. There are some great nurses there too, and the schedulers are great! The schedulers always do their best at finding an appointment that works for you. The clinic manager, Deb does a fantastic job of keeping everything running smoothly. Overall, I feel quite fortunate to have care at this facility, and I pray Dr. Don Regier never retires!

I have mixed feelings about this clinic my first visit there it didn't go so good my second appointment there at the clinic was awful the doctor didn't even give me the results of my x-rays and was very short visit for he left me sitting in a room and about 30 minutes later the nurse told me I was done he just removed the cast and stitches for my wrist never said anything to the nurse or me about what to do. but my third visit was great it was with dr. Erickson he is very professional kind courteous compassionate man and dr. the nurses they all treated me with respect and is very nice. the nurse practitioner Lindsay Shelby Shelby Lindsay he's a very nice man also he got a lot of my test ordered for me I really appreciate him thank you very much for all your kind help and for taking good care of me just some of them did, not all was as helpful but everyone has a bad day every now and again. Another unprofessional experience here. Came in for a CT Scan. I ended up leaving this facility went home. Called and asked for the HR Department. If you have a problem with any employee don't waste your time talking with Deb because no matter what happened the patient is at fault. I called to report a employee from radiology stepped in front of me while I was trying to leave and put her hand on me and prevented me from leaving. I had to tell her to keep her hands off me and I had to step around the employee to leave. She refused to move out of my way. But Deb from HR never gave me the chance to report anything. I was in the wrong in her eyes. Before I hung up the phone she kept repeating that I better not hang up. Now I see why the employees act that way because HR acts the same way. Update: I was given a reg letter from this bandaid station. I can't go there for any treatment. Thank God I will live longer. We all know the sorry reputation this dump has. ANOTHER UPDATE: I was called on 8/24/2022 by the radiology department wanting to schedule a test. After I informed the fool what the clinic manager did to me. He stated he wasn't aware of me getting a certified letter prohibiting me from going there. Just another example of one hospital department not knowing what another department is doing!

The doctor and nurse Becky were terrific and attentive. We feel we got excellent care. They were also flexible as to protocol without sacrificing quality of care so that we and our two dogs could back on the road.

We were staying at Holyoke with me parents when my son got sick. I called the Holyoke clinic to make an appointment and they said that they could get me at 7:00 AM....tomorrow. I told them I would look elsewhere because my son was sick now. I called the Sedgwick County Health Center right away when they opened and they had my son scheduled right away for that morning at 8:30 AM that morning. We went to the appointment, the front desk ladies were awesome, the nurse was excellent to my son, and the doctor [I am forgetting her name but she was from the south somewhere, accent :-) ] was excellent. I cannot tell you how pleased I was with everything they did for us. We were back home by 9:45. Thank you all for everything. Cheers!!!

This is SO frustrating! My daughter’s appointment was at 10:45, it is now 11:55 and we are STILL waiting! I don’t understand how or why doctors seem to think that their time is so much more important than anyone else’s. This would upset me under any conditions, but even more so considering she’s 5 months pregnant! Be respectful of others, rather than so greedy that your schedule is jam packed and it’s impossible for you to provide decent care. The blatant lack of respect for other people’s time is disgusting to me. But what does that matter, as long as you’re getting that $$$, right? Seriously disappointed...
