Today I’m in Scripps Clinic Infusion Center on the second floor. The facilities and staff are considerate, well organized and pleasantly professional. My Infusionist is Monella, an RN. Monella and her colleagues are a delight. Monella is the best kind of professional you could ever meet because she made sure that I was comfortable, and she gently and verbally prepared me for each step of the process including the removal of the needle at the end. She and the other staff were clearly and impressively focused yet happily chatty; yet in the knowledge that they were each highly trained and credentialed, and prepared for eventualities well beyond the routine. Yes, I felt comfortable; but I recognized professionalism and I knew all was well. (In turn at subsequent visits Cheryl, Wendy and Kristin each approached the same process remarkably differently and competently. They’re all wonderful Professionals.)

Customer service and professionalism is lacking with the front office reception/schedulers. Requested a follow-up appointment with my PCP after a Scripps virtual visit per the orders of the MD that saw me. Scheduled an appointment w/ a Scripps Internal Medicine PA, as my doctor was booked out for the next two weeks. Explained the services I needed and the receptionist scheduled the appointment 5 days after my initial telemedicine visit. I received a call less than 24 hours before my appointment from a woman informing me the PA I was scheduled with did not perform the services I needed. She proceeded to tell me it was my fault for booking the appointment and I should have called a dermatologist. Mind you, I do not work in the office and was referred to this PA from their office. I am self-employed with 2 children and live 40 miles away. I am in pain and not willing to wait another week to be seen. When I requested to speak with someone else do to how rude and unempathetic she was she told me, "yeah well just come in and I guess see what she can do". Unacceptable.

I am Huiyan Chen I was a patient of yours I am leaving you reluctantly, because I need to keep my HMO medical plan. But I want to say thank you for your service! I especially want to thank Geary, MD, Siu Ming and Natasha L, NP., they gave me the impression that their diagnosis were meticulous, professional and responsible. Thank you all! Happy New Year!

Dr. Andrew Sapthavee, MD, is not only an amazing surgeon but a very caring doctor. My procedure was a very difficult one and I am amazed at the results. Dr. Sap kept me well informed and answered all my questions. I would highly recommend him to anyone who wants a doctor that treats you like a person and not a number.

Funny how the urgent care is available with hours that overlap the clinics. The UC and ER costs the patient $$$$ out of pocket compared to an office visit. The UC and ER are well staffed.....however this very large nonprofit can not see the need for expanding their clinic staffing which costs patients $. Go to UCSD the wheels fell off Scripps a while ago............says the patient who can get an appt in Chula Vista but not Rancho Bernardo 2 miles from home.

I called for an appt with my GYN and despite being in acute distress was told I couldn’t see my doc until July (a month away) or a PA in 2 weeks. I ended up going to my local Planned Parenthood and thank goodness because I had something that would have eventually landed me in the hospital. What’s the point of having a doctor if they can’t see you? Take your money elsewhere!

I do not understand the purpose of a PPO Insurance plan with this clinic. I attempted to change my doctor but all their doctors that are at full capacity. I try to go directly to a specialist using my PPO advantages but I am asked that it would have to be a REFERRAL from a PRIMARY care doctor. On top of that I am suffering from Severe headaches. How is a person with headache suppose to manage all this? This is just a complete waste of time system.

The facilities are top notch, but navigating the phone tree to even talk to a real person is like fighting a brick wall. Expect no help and to be disappointed by the call center scripps uses. I was hung up on 4 times in 30 minutes. Useless is an understatement.
