This place works really hard to earn and keep their 1 star rating. If you have a choice, send your loved ones anywhere but here. I was appalled to see the condition of the facility and the lack of hygiene care given to the residents. The nurses are all kind, but their main job is to give medication. I believe bathing only happens once a week per resident, and nothing is ever truly cleaned. Black mold, and evidence of months' worth of a lack of cleaning abound. Clearly the company owning and running this place doesn't care as administration here has changed 3 times in the last year or two, and their only response to bad reviews is "per patient privacy, we can't talk about anything". Security here is non-existent, and there are piles of old furniture around the outside of the building. Hallways are also used as equipment storage so that residents can barely make their way through. They're blaming a lot on lack of staffing over the last few years. Well, now that they claim they are fully staffed, lets hope they improve. Otherwise, there's got to be a better nearby option. I wouldn't want to be put here when I'm elderly.

This place is actually not bad as long as you’re not too needy. I’ve been here a few days due to a wound and treatment and the staff is super pleasant and friendly. It’s a big facility and so it of course makes sense that they are thinned out, especially when every patient has specific needs that occur all at once. The food is decent and I haven’t found anything I don’t like besides the oatmeal and that is strictly personal preference. Thank you for everything you guys do, from Room S-1, Bed 2! ❤️

Would never under any circumstances send someone to this facility. They are so short staffed, elderly people are not taken care of, lie, neglectful, rooms are extremely out dated and smell of pee, they don’t have any one to clean. Please please please please don’t send your loved ones here. The administration is very corrupt and lies straight to your face. I was Admitted for med IV’s, wound care and well didn’t get either. Sat on the floor after I fell for 48 minutes that’s when someone finally came and helped me. I fell yet again took 42 minutes for someone to come help. The patients that are there are very very neglected. If you have a loved one there please please find somewhere else. If your thinking of putting some one there check it out fully DON’T DO IT. We have reported them and the hospital that sent me there the crisis team is now working on the matter.

If I could have given a zero stars I would’ve. My mom was placed in this facility for physical therapy from a surgery and speech therapy as well. If I knew then what I know and seen I wouldn’t take a sick skunk there. However it probably wouldn’t have been noticed from the smell in that place. We would go to visit mom some could go more than others because they lived closer my younger sister seen more of this facility than myself And every time a family member would stop by to check on her. The adult diaper would be off and her bed sore would not have a bandage on it. Her food was out of her reach. She didn’t have enough strength to feed herself or drink water. I was livid and requested to see the director of this facility. And Brandon the director assured me this would be taken care of after getting upset about the was she was being taken care of or I should say the lack of care. I figured after meeting with him the head Nurse and the people over her therapy that things would be better. But even after meeting with all the staff I did. “ nothing changed “ my older sister stopped 2 days after my meeting with staff it was the same thing. The food would set on a metal chair out of her reach until the next meal was brought in. And every time we would stop the blinds were closed and the lights off. She was just left no help from staff. After a while we took her home and she was on hospice and shortly after passed away. I text the director Brandon and no response not even a sorry for you loss! But my mom did get a bill for about five thousand dollars. Please don’t put your mother or Father through that ordeal.maybe a investigation should take place and maybe forced to close until they figure out that it’s people actually human beings that they are trusted with. Please don’t put them in that Hell Hole!! John E

My brother has been there 3 days and hasn't seen ANYONE! NO ONE HAS CHANGED HIS BANDAGES, HES DIABETIC AND THEY BRING HIM NOTHING BUT SUGARY SNACKS! HE HAD A SUB SANDWICH, TATER TOTS, CREAMED CORN. I HALF OF AN EGG SANDWICH AND A LIL BOWL OF OATMEAL AND ONE MORE SANDWICH AND A SCOOP OF POTATO'S. STILL IN HIS OPERATION GOWN.... this is so ridiculous. We are trying to Door Dash some food for Him... So SAD. If this has become the way our Healthcare System is working... it is definitely not working!

Staff at sandstone are so nice especially with all they have to do! Facility older with very kind staff. The reason for the 2 star rating boils down to being short staffed. When we arrived , mom’s bed was already broken and they had to change it. The room she shares with another person is small, hardly room for the giant o2 machine, wheel chairs , bedside tables, eating trays , supplies and walkers for two people. Getting mom up to use the bathroom is like a jigsaw puzzle each time. My mom is not too mobile and needs assistance to get up. She pushes the call button and has to wait an hour for anyone to come help her when I am not there. Then the toilet overflowed and went everywhere. She’s only been there 4 days and the toilet has over flowed several times. Twice tonight. It was not properly cleaned up any of the times and we are still waiting on maintenance to get it fixed. Mom is scared to sleep as she shares the room with a patient experiencing dementia who steals her supplies, bedding , comfort objects and clothing. Staff apologized for this but still have not moved mom out of the memory care unit to a unit that is better suited for her. She is not happy there with outdated tv and necessary equipment like trays and beds. Not happy overall and looking for a new place.

My sister, Kimberli was at Heritage Hill's for a few years. She has since passed due to her condition, but they were wonderful. When she first was transferred they made her feel very much at home. We also enjoyed that the facility had animals. :)) The staff was very sweet. My sister was a smoker and was not able to get in and out of her bed by herself, and they helped her with that until it got much too hard for everyone involved. Within the past couple years, I know the facility changed ownership a little and I was able to see how that partnership benefited not only the facility, but the patients. The interior has been updated and does not smell like a care center. Thank you to all the Heritage Hill staff that took care of my sister.

Heritage Hills has completely turned around. A new administrator and staff have been around for about three years now and the difference is remarkable. While visiting a friend who was getting rehab from Heritage Hills he told me how much he loved the staff and how they weren’t letting him slack off in his recovery. I’ve been to Heritage Hills with church/youth groups and can attest to the difference that has happened. I have been recommending people to go there because I believe it is a well run facility. In past years I’ve been reluctant to recommend anyone go there but having an administrator there long term has made all the difference.
