I’ve been going to see Doreen at San Diego Sports Medicine for years! When I have a flair up of my issue she helps me get back on track. She also helped me during both pregnancies with my hip. They have now moved!! Two separate areas in the building in suite 200. I’d leave enough time for parking and finding it since it’s a little confusing your first visit.

I started working with Dr. Alex Bernadette as my primary care doctor when I moved to San Diego in ~ Oct. 2023. He is nothing short of kind, compassionate and professional. I have never received such personal attention to my concerns. Dr. Bernadette takes time to go over my medical history and provide his thoughts and advice in a digestible and easy to understand way. I feel heard and recognized throughout our visits. He is prompt to answer any follow-up questions. Thank you to the team at San Diego Sports Medicine and thank you Dr. Bernadette!

My recent visit to San Diego Sports Medicine & Family Health Center was marred by an unwelcoming experience at the reception. Despite having made an appointment with all necessary details provided over the phone for my daughter, I was greeted by a front desk staff member who exhibited a lack of basic courtesy and politeness. The absence of a simple greeting was just the start. I was immediately asked for insurance information and then redundantly made to fill out forms with information I had already provided, consuming about 10 minutes on repetitive tasks. The interaction continued to be impersonal and somewhat brusque, including unnecessary comments about keeping the pen and filling out additional minor details. The waiting experience was equally disheartening, as we observed several later arrivals being attended to before us without any explanation, adding to our frustration. Additionally, my daughter was reprimanded for touching what appeared to be toys, but were apparently decorative items, in a manner I found quite rude. However, it's important to note that once we were called in, the medical staff, including the doctor and nurse, were exceptionally professional and pleasant, contrasting starkly with our initial reception. Unfortunately, the cold demeanor resumed upon departure, with my farewell going unacknowledged. The front desk, being the first point of contact, significantly influences the overall impression of a healthcare facility, and unfortunately, in this instance, it fell short of the expected standard of hospitality and professionalism

I saw Rebecca Rodriguez DO at the Sorrento Valley office of San Diego Sports Medicine. She was super thorough in her examination and she asked a lot of questions. Her knowledge was excellent and her communication was clear and helpful. I think I just found a new doctor that I can trust.

Doctor is nice but good luck getting your medication refilled...its kind of pointless to see a doctor and get persribed medication that you can't refilled. If there was a reason as to why, maybe communicate that to your patients? I guess thats asking for too much...

I’ve been going there for years with Dr. Williams and always had my concerns addressed. Just recently changed doctors and unfortunately did not have a good experience. Felt dismissed and rushed through my appointment. You lost a patient.

Earlier this year, I had a debilitating bulging disc, and the care I received at the Sorrento Valley San Diego Sports Medicine Center was phenomenal. My physician Dr. Rodriguez, my physical therapist Molina, Omega, and everyone else I interacted with were pleasant and helpful, and they genuinely listened to me. Their billing department, however, is absolutely atrocious. Almost three months after my last visit, I'm still being billed as out-of-network for the care I received, despite reaching out to address this issue and confirming that they are in-network with my insurance plan several times. Honestly, their billing department needs to be retrained or replaced, but the physicians, nurses, physical therapists and front desk workers here are all still incredible.

Sorrento Valley San Diego Sports Medicine is one of the best. Dr. Williams is very professional and personable and is never rushing to get to her next patient. She is very kind and considerate to your needs. Sydney her Nurse is awesome as well. An awesome team! Best care I have ever had! I also go to the physical therapy side and Andrew is the best! I have gotten 100% use of my knee back after surgery!
