Michelle and Everlene are so wonderful in the activities department! They truly have a love for each of the residents and take their job very serious. My mother-in-law was a resident here for several years and we were so pleased with the care she received. I am looking forward to being able to assist the activities department and the residents as much as I am able in the future. 👍✝️🌸🙏✝️

My good and loving Husband, Father and Friend passed away, after suffering from heart failure. I’m not saying they caused it, however, they were responsible for his rehabilitation. The problem was that they weren’t giving him any attention in that arena because they didn’t have the staff to carry it out. He also did not have access to a telephone and many other things. It appears that they were argumentative with him when he asked for any assistance at all and would walk away and he would not see them for hours at a time. The girls they hired were not much interested in even calling the nurse to answer his questions. I think some one in administration should vet whoever applies for a job here and keep watching them not just rely on the overworked nurses only, to report any mistakes or surliness. I wouldn’t recommend this facility to anyone. He eventually had a critical heart attack and was sent to the hospital. After a 5-6 days he was sent home to hospice care. And passed three days later. It turns out he contracted a kidney infection and no one would listen to him or me about his complaints. The dr. at Foley found it and treated it, but it was too late.

Administrator, head nurse and therapist were great. Most of the other staff were not caring and had impatient attitude. Food was often terrible- example the french fries were hard as rock, not even cooked. The two week quarantine policy is a total waste of rehab time. Despite having proof of vaccination, plus being tested before and during stay, was in quarantine, therefore very limited physical therapy (which was the point of being there!) Medications were not given in a timely manner. I was tempted to move my mom to another facility but decided this was the devil we knew and didn't want to get in a worse facility. After two days of nausea with little concern by the staff, I took her out. Better off having your loved one home and caring for them yourself. I don't understand why some people are in a health care industry if they don't actually care about people.

I truly believe if my sister didn't have to leave Florida to come to robertdale facility she would be alive today. Totally different after she got there. I watched her have a seizure and two nurses was behind me in the room laughing and talking to the other patient I had to tell them to come see whats wrong. My sister was unresponsive for only God knows how long 2 days later she died . This was a long story cut short. Talking out her head was so awful and it didn't start till she got there. SUPPOSED TO BEEN TAKING THE SAME MEDS SHE WAS TAKEN IN FLORIDA....

A family member of mine was transferred to Robertsdale Rehabilitation & HealthCare Center from Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola after having a major stroke. Her condition had been improving at Sacred Heart but slowly began to deteriorate while at Robertsdale Rehabilitation & HealthCare Center. During one of my visits, she began having seizure, and when they were made aware of it, they refused to hospitalize her..Two days later, she was finally sent to the hospital, in a comatose state. The doctor determined that she was severely dehydrated. We also noticed a bruise on her face. Her condition never improved and she passed away a few days later. We contacted an attorney and he took our case. He said he was also currently representing two other clients in wrongful death cases against Robertsdale Rehabilitation & HealthCare Center! Our attorney also revealed during the deposition that they had dropped her on the floor. Filing a criminal case was not possible and the responsible parties are protected from prosecution by the secrecy of the corporate veil. We wanted to shut this place down in order to save others but were unable to do so. Do not put a loved one in this place.

So far so good. My mom has been here 2 days. I heard that all nursing homes are the same around here but this is not as bad as expected. No smells, nice nurses. We are only keeping her here a few weeks and I hope it will be as smooth as it has been so far.

This place should be closed down. My Grandmother was admitted here for rehabilitation, let’s just say she’s still in the hospital after being in Robertsdale Rehab after only 6 days. She has an decubitus ulcer that’s to the muscle on her back side, they did not get her out of bed at all. She laid there in pain that entire time even thought they we’re telling us a different story. We had to initially call EMS ourselves to take her back to Thomas Hospital where she was admitted to ICU and pain had to be managed. We were told she was in bed mostly due to their staff did not know how to transfer her out of bed. I’m baffled how are you a rehab facility but your staff does not know how to transfer patients out of bed.

My best friend was admitted to this facility for Hospice Care. My first impression walking into the lobby and even the hallway was that it was a well kept and obviously touched by an Interior Decorator facility. After getting settled in by the EMT's my friends sister and I were approached by Nurse N. she was so overly sweet and accommodating I had a feeling it was for show because my friend was a new resident. Things went downhill from there, shortly after that I saw and heard her talking very mean to the other resident in the room which was very disturbing to me. The next morning my friend told me that "they" had been mean to her earlier which would have been totally uncalled for as my friend is not the least combative and had not said that about any other nurse, she had food on her gown and on her bed, food on the floor. At one point she had to use a garbage can to throw up in, the safety rails on her bed were very dirty, her roommate smelled of urine, the bathroom smelled of urine. The nursing home did not administer the amount of medication that was directed by Hospice to give resulting in my friend suffering unnecessary pain. Finally the family had to call in authorities of the establishment to defend their dying sister from mistreatment.
