Riverside Health and Rehabilitation Center

People make the difference in senior care. Riverside is BIG. 5 floors, probably a census somewhere around 300+ residents. Every single person so far, in just two days, has been professional and extremely nice. Nurse Yvonne on the 5th floor, the APRN, aides, recreational director, Kathy in the admissions office, and Cameron in the business office. (Figured I'd name those that have been especially helpful during this very rough time in my father's life.) Cameron specifically spent a LOT of time with me today. Gathering needed paperwork and submitting various documents for Medicaid, etc. I was about to give up doing it myself at home, but she helped me through the process! Looks like a real good place for my father long term. He says he's comfortable, the place doesn't smell like a nursing home, he has a nice size room with a TV, a few dressers and cabinets for personal belongings, and a sunny window with a view of the Hartford skyline. UPDATE: Things are still going well, father has now been here 5 months and Riverside is still doing a solid job. Thanks!

My mother in law was at Riverside several months ago and I forgot to do a google review. She required Pulmonary rehab and was able to get her sleep study completed onsite. It was amazing to see every discipline attend the family meeting. Everyone genuinely cared about her status and our concern for what was needed in order for her to get back home. Thank you all for getting her where she needed to be.

My father was admitted last night, and all staff that I met could not have been any nicer! From the sweet woman at the front desk, to the maintenance staff, to his nurses, everyone treated us like we really are of the highest priority, with such care, kindness, and concern. I’m so so grateful that my dad will be staying at such a wonderful facility. It brings me great peace to know that he is being well cared for.

Very pleased with the nurses and staff here, especially Yvonne, Dairean, as well as my therapists Breanna and Katen. Enjoyed many of the activities such as bingo, sing alongs. They also made my birthday special when I was here as well. Donna was also very helpful and went out of her way for me when I needed to keep my appointments with my doctor.I have no hesitation in coming back here again

As a former employee of Riverside health and rehab, I am always very satisfied about the quality of care that they provide to the residence and hence the reason why if I would always recommend this place to any of my family members like my mom to receive care in the time of recovery. I have chosen to use Riverside health and rehab because I am confident, and I know that the quality of care that they Give to their patient and including the residence is beyond exceptional.

Hotter food. Thick.kool aid was off. Location is good. Nurses are really nice to mom. How does management manage food requirements? Moms diabetic less sugar please. Thanks for being awesome.

My mother and family were embraced as part of the family. A very welcoming atmosphere and wonderful care. Many thanks to the whole crew- Butchie, Earl, Keafier, Jennifer, Comfort, Ms Jackie, Georgette, Becky, Karen, Brittany and Kathy.

My father was transferred to riverside today. Wow. The place is clean. No bad smells. People are so kind and helpful. I know only first day but have tried many rehabilitation places over the last three years and this one is the first to answer all my questions on day one. Thumbs up
